I saw the Jets in Nottingham on their 'intimate gigs' tour, before they'd released the album, everyone was packed in, and my friend and I were right in front of Blaine. They started playing this, no one had heard it before, as soon as they'd sang one 'shalalalala' everyone took it up. I've been to gigs where no ones sang along to the oldest songs, and I think this shows how special the Jets are, they have a very real feel that makes people say 'what the hell' and just have fun. I love it.
Interesting to find all the song references in here... I caught Abba, The Fall, Lemonheads, Wings, Cranberries, Neutral Milk Hotel, Belle and Sebastien, Roxy Music.. What else?
