Hi Lexi! I love the music you have chosen for mystery Mondays it’s so perfect, wow! what a story, surely he had to have planned this down to the last detail and have people waiting for him on the ground down there to pick him up, and plant a little money here and there to look like he might not have made it and they would eventually stop looking for him. I hope they do find more evidence to explain what happened as this story is so unusual and exciting lol maybe we need tonya on the case lol… thank you Lexi for another great mystery monday, take care 🩷🇬🇧

Hi Lexi! I remember seeing this case on Unsolved Mysteries so many years ago. As much as I would like to know what happened, it is really cool that it is still unsolved. If he worked for Boeing, he definitely would have known the ins and outs of the airplane.

Omg! How did I miss the first one. This reminds of the other true crime videos you used to do. I love these.

Hi Sabrina!! Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed it! I wanted to kinda pick back up on some videos like this and thought this would be a good way to do it and incorporate it with the diamond painting! I hope you are doing well! 💖

Thanks so much Lexi...these are so fun. My theory for this would be that he was the man in the air and he had help waiting on the ground in that area. I think the Mexico City thing was a ruse and he had planned on jumping where he did all along...LOL. That's my 2 cents of super sleuthing....LOL! Have a great week and can't wait for next week!

Oh my goodness!!! You are so right, I didnt even think about the possibility of him having help on the ground. That makes so much sense!! You're too smart!!

What do you think about the so called "Comic book connection" Apparently an obscure foreign comic book may be vital to deciphering the tale of DB Cooper. Infact not only may Cooper be connected to this 1960s-era, French-language comic. He may have actually got his inspiration for the hijacking from it. "The Dan Cooper comics" followed the adventures of a Royal Canadian Air Force test pilot and space traveler named Dan Cooper. (As im sure you're aware the real Cooper would later become known as DB Cooper after a reporter misspelled his name in an early news article and the nickname stuck.) On the cover of one issue of the comic, created by Belgian cartoonist Albert Weinberg - which was sold only in Europe and French Canada shortly before Cooper hijacked Flight 305 - the Canadian action hero is shown parachuting from an aircraft. Additionally, in another perceived parallel, one of the comics includes a storyline about a ransom being delivered in a knapsack - again mirroring the real-life hijacking. Interestingly "The Dan Cooper comics" were never translated into English and were never sold in America. It's believed (by some) that the hijacker may have been inspired by the Dan Cooper series and chosen his alias as a nod to the fictional character. Cooper investigators are now working with a theory that says Cooper was either French Canadian or possibly lived or served overseas in Belgium with the US Air Force. Although Cooper's hostages did not report hearing the hijacker speak with any kind of distinctive accent. It been known for a long time that a strange phrase was used by Cooper while demanding his ransom. Ie "$200,000 sum in "negotiable American currency," is non-typical of American English and it unlikely that and an American born highjacker would speak like that. Perhaps his lack of accent points to French Canada as one of the few places in the world where (a French speaker) could hail from and not have an accent. This list of course being rounded off by "Franco-Manitobans, the Franco-Albertans, and possibly the Franco-Ontarians are most likely to have both a good command of French and no discernible accent when speaking English, since French Canadians living outside of Quebec live in a predominantly anglophone environment. Anyway what say you guys about "The comic book connection"?
