Baale Dele Adeyanju, Elder Odeyemi is a good guest but his bad voice in this great interview negatively impacted on it. I support that you re-invite him when he is audible enough for our rapt attention.

Agbaletu, well done. I always enjoy your interviews with superstars and appreciate the valuable insights we gain from them. However, I am not a fan of Barrister, Kolington, Sunny Ade, or Obey. If you listen carefully to what Mr. Odeyemi is saying, you will notice he does have a favorite musician, either KSA or Barrister, as most of his comments are based on these two. It is okay to have a favorite, but in interviews like this, it is important to remain unbiased and present information as it is. Regarding Barrister and Kolington, even the King of Fuji himself confirmed before his passing that he and Kolington had been friends since a young age. This is a story both Kollington and Barrister affirm, so presenting a different narrative is confusing. Similarly, while you praise Sunny Ade over Obey, remember that these two have commended each other as the best Juju musicians. What is the reason for this contradiction? Ultimately, it is up to the audience to decide what to believe.
Timely interview. Elder was my egbon and senior colleague at the same time. He was tossed to Egbado by the Sketch mgmt when i knew him. His closeness to Barrister got him much beef from Sketch bosses who often accused him of abscoonding from his base to follow Barrister. Ayo Jamiu, a messenger on Sketch's subdesk took to Elder's template to be pushing stories for Wasiu, known as Talazo that time.

Kollington had said it on many occasions that Barrister was older than him. Barrister was then a friend to a much younger Kollington. Hmmmm, humility per excellence.
Baba claimed that Barry and Kolly are not that close. But when reminiscing on what happened on Osupa King saga said Barry told Kolly " Kola are just knowing me today?....." ( think about it) . We can deduce from here that Kollington could be born in 1954, whereas Barrister was born in 1948. So they were not that close in age and hence in music. Barrister clearly said it that Raimi Ogidan was his contemporary, not Kollington.

Agbaletu, you are doing a good job with your guests and the programme s a whole. however, this Baba Odeyemi is an apologist of Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. His submission on Gen. Kollington Ayinla was biased and gave him out on several occasions and gave him out as someone who has a beef against the General! If not, how would he described say Kollington and KWAM 1 started almost the same time and he also made attempts to belittled the relationship between Alhaji Agba and Kebe Nkwara! My submission
In as much as I love this interview, I dislike the fact that Baba Hunter was economical with the TRUTH. Some of what he said here will be debunk as time goes on.

Most of what Baba Dayo Odeyemi said is true but the issue of Barrister music "Owo ki lani o, ti enikan o ti ni ri " it's not true that Barrister sang it against Chief M.k.o Abiola, totally not true, Barrister copied that music from Baba S. Aka and also it's a big fallacy that Chief M.k.o Abiola met Dr. Sikiru Ayinde barrister at the world bank. But I was nobody when I met Chief Ebenezer Obey in his church at Agege area soliciting his sponsorship of our students fellowship in the 90s. Though he didn't give us anything but he welcomed us warmly. I remember that he told us that he had handful of the similar requests we came for but assuring us another time.

Delẹ, well done. In my opinion, this man is very bias, how can he say Wasiu started music almost at the same time with Kollington Ayinla. However, barrister said it himself that Kollington Ayinla brought him to the Nigerian army. Why is he saying they didn't friend for so long.
Dele Adeyanju, you accused barrister fans of being rude to Kollington. That's nothing but half truth. Countless times, I have seen kollington fans being rude to barrister, too. It goes both ways. There are a number of times where Kollington fans celebrated any negative thing said by anybody about barrister as if they've won a trophy. Like the one said by Wahab Ilori and Bashiru Ajani.
Baba is still tilted towards Barry. That's understandable. The claim of fuji was a publicity package. He claimed that " social"introduced both Barry and Kolly to each other. While both claimed they know each other personally. Baba said there was no Kolly until 1978 later he said he came out in 1963. I still respect Baba 🙏.
He really contradicted himself. I can sense that most of lies we were hearing from some SAB Fans originated from him. GKA first LP Album was in 1974. The success of that Album was what made it easy for him to perform Hajj in 1975. He has been a successful Fuji Musician since 1974. And again, Wahabi Ilori was not singing like GKA. That is not true. I detected many false claim he made on this interview (even about SAB). How I wish late Olajide (Social Barrister) is alive today so that he can come and debunk most of the lies. Even in the absence of late Olajide, Baale Agbaletu can get in touch with Dr. Victor Ofili. He was the former PRO to GKA. He has some of those facts in Fuji.
This man is very biased. He has a lot of negative minds about Killington. Barrister said a lot about his relationship with Kolington several times while alive and the man kept debunking it. But why?
You knew SAB after he turned professional musician while SAB and GKA were actually together since their youths. They have both talked about how the visited each others before Fiji was created. Social linked them together during Ajiwere Ajisari and they both joined the military after. SAB in one of his interviews confirmed he joined the military because of GKA. These two musicians rivalries promoted Fuji Musics. You were not there during their early ages. Anything you said about their Ajiwere times was the history you had. The two were friends. If not why did SAB named first GKA son and why did SAB named his first son after GKA. I love both of them but it was SAB of a blessed memories that came out first. I disagree with you that you are older than GKA as he always say he accept any age he is called. Your stories about SAB and GKA is contradictory. Fela their big brother never partook in Juju competition. You may be a journalist but that did not mean you got all the stories right. You were missing were music time with fuji music time.
