Nail on the head regarding the fit. Urban assault also feels like it’s pulling my shoulders backwards from the top. I’ve tried adjusting, but to no avail 6:23 . A shame… I like this bag, and hate the fit.
I've always felt that the materials used in the Mystery Ranch backpack are of high quality and very durable. However, they have consistently not paid much attention to the design of the water bottle pocket. I hope they can take a more serious approach to design!
Compared to the predecessor, the Urban Assault 24, they're somehow worse because at least the UA has deeper pockets. I'm not sure who designed this and thought it was truly an upgrade.
@@FactFinderGeneral yeah i agreed with you , the urban Assault 24 has better water bottle pocket . I think maybe they can add an internal water bottle pocket .
@@desertBirdDogs That doesn't seem to be a significant complaint from the coulee or scree owners; those bags have very generous/stretchy mesh pockets. And these have been out for years, and most owners seem happy with them.
I have a 26 litre version and this is my first MRanch. I was happy when I bought it. However, I hurt my shoulders seriously after wearing it for about 2 weeks (I am 5'7'' tall, 66kg). I can only say from experience that the load lifters, either loosened or tightened, does not allow my lower back to share any load. It's all too much pressure on the shoulders wearing this bag. I have been receiving PM&R for a month now.
I think I know why the fit is off for you as the bag is just not long enough that and the underside of the shoulder straps don’t have any grip so the thing keeps sliding away from your back shoulders
Looks like the shoulder straps have more padding than my 3DAP CL, but yeah, the fit looks a bit off. Might be because there's only one size on this particular bag.
