I find it so adorable when you see your pets for the first time. The same look a father would have seeing his son or daughter for the first time. Theyre lucky dragons to have a parent like you !
dude screw all the people who say you're wrong for showing your beardie some affection. animals are only fractions of our lives but we are literally their whole life. each animal deserves all kinds of affection.
J2H Berzerk I think each animal deserves their idea of affection- which may differ from each animal. For example, never does a bearded dragon kiss something they love! Also the way he acted, he probably scared it since it was their first meeting and he didnt' gain its trust yet.

I love how by the end of the video he is already looking for banana/tasting you and is not aggressive anymore. He was probably just initially defensive & irritated from being boxed, but he knows he's safe with you. What a gorgeous dragon. Wow. Great buy can't wait to see more of him some day.
People who do not own reptiles, do not understand the love we have for them. They are our pets, just like a dog or cat. My Box Turtle is more affectionate then ANY of my fury ones.
+Roxanne Santori I completely understand that everyone has their own pet they enjoy more than another, however, please do NOT say your turtle is more affectionate than my German Shepherd! Mine are my therapy because I'm disabled, & they protect me & my family from people breaking into our home, & have the almost human like emotion than any turtle has,! That being said, I very much respect who judges what animal is their own favorite or which they love the most, no one can question how YOU feel about a certain animal, although I will tell you due to scientific research what that animal is capable of feeling, & some reptiles may know their owner or who feeds them, however, they won't be happy to see you & greet you at the door with happiness & tails wagging because they're not only excited to see you but it's because they actually missed you while you were gone, & know there is a time gap from the last time they saw you hence the excitement when they see you! I love ALL animals, & knew someone who owned one for over 30 years, however, I know for sure he didn't greet him at the door with his tail wagging, in fact I don't believe they feel that emotion! It's not that I NEED that, I like it, however, I've been thinking about getting a Bearded Dragon, & have wanted a Tarantula for a long time, I think the dragons are precious & have a fascination with certain tarantulas! :)

People judging you cause your kissing your beardie. I kiss my beardie every day and kiss her belly and hold her and she's so cute she likes it to and then she rests by me and takes a nap. Don't judge someone for showing their friend love and affection!!

Kissing them gives immediate contact that otherwise could be taken as being aggressive and when you do this it shows that what could be perceived as aggressive is not at all harmful. It's beneficial. People kiss their dogs and cats. There's nothing gross or weird. It shows how much he loves his animals.
Yes, he does not like it at first, but as you see at the end of the video he is now more calm with handling. He will tolerate his affection more and more.
People are assholes in these comments. He obviously has a passion and love for these creatures. Just like theirs people who have a passion for justice, knowledge, helping people they all have great affection for their work and it has a huge meaning to apart of their lives. Don't judge everyone's journey in life. Just be happy he has a passion.
Michel Behrends Maybe before you call someone a dumbass you should make sure you read their fucking sentence. He was talking about the breeder. And scaring a lizard with kisses IS creepy. It doesn't know you're being affectionate. It knows it just came out of a scary ride in a dark box and now a giant creature may or may not be about to eat him. Don't project your human emotions on a reptile if it's going to make you lose sight of the lizard's point of view. I won't call you a dumbass but you certainly aren't equipped to be calling others that.
I believe allmanimals will eventually pick up on the positive energy and/or positive behavior that is being projected onto them...this holds true for negative behaviors too, but, it was obvious that in this clip the energy received was all positive.
I love the way you treat your reptiles vs the way everyone else treats them, they don't even name them other than their morph and gender, or even handle them a lot.. You're super affectionate toward your animals!

Michel, I think its beautiful how much you love them. Its making me want a beardie too. One of the reasons I love the feeding and unboxing videos soooo much is watching how they respond to you. Patiently, as much as they can, waiting for their turns to eat from your hand, responding to your voice and knowing exactly what you are about to do for them. I only wish I 'd started watching your videos long ago. Thank you so much for all that you do for them and sharing the knowledge and your amazing relationships with them. Love it all.
I see that you really love him, but he's been in a box for hours and is already under stress. Snatching him out of a box and bombarding him with kisses makes him feel under attack. He doesn't know you, so a little rest & relaxation in his new habitat and lots of warmth may be best. Just my opinion.
Amazing! He's beautiful! Love goes a long way! I watched many of his other videos and its great how well tamed he became, only love can do that that's one happy beardie. I'd be just as freaked to have one someday :)

OMG he is so happy! So adorable! More people need to treat there pets the way you do with so much love and trust! I admire this! Makes me miss my water dragon Puff he passed away from a lung defect he had since he was born :( He was an amazing friend.

Haha love it! This will be one happy bearded dragon if he is in your care! I have been really interested in beardies lately, and might be getting one soon. Right now I have a tiger salamander named Salamandré. Rescued him from a parking lot on a hot day. If I could give him this much love I would! But salamanders cannot be held for too long sadly. Nonetheless, amazing videos. I love watching you take care of these guys. :)
Where is the best place you know of to buy bearded dragons from? I want to get one as a pet one day soon, but I'm nervous about ordering and pet stores only seem to have plain colored draggies.
Well I don't recommend getting one from a petshop, the ones there may be from animal mills and if I has a clear back round on who the parents are, but if it's a good place and you trust the people go ahead, and with colors all bearded dragons can be dull colored or brightly colored, doesn't really matter, all dragon can be sweet animals. But ya know if your aiming to get a colorful dragon, go to some reptile expos, that's were I got mine, were you can choose what you want there easier and with experienced breeders. But do what ya want but I think going to a reptile thing would be the best choice, but do what you think is right, and how you fine a good dragon :3
