He's not undead. None of the Avatara or fallen lords are. Avatara are just incredibly strong magi. He's been keeping his life going with his magic for a few hundred years.
@@willdavis3802 Omg wow..! So sorry for the crude assumption, and thank you for correcting me! Having learnt this, I'm in such awe of the Avatara. Well, I mean ingame, each one can literally obliterate entire armies with their magic. But still, such a gruesome way to go for such a powerful mage. It *was* in a battle against Shiver herself, so maybe to be expected, however undignified IMHO :O
@@tttc No, there's a level before the Forge where you control Alric wielding what's essentially a one-tap weapon and then you 1v1 Soulblighter and almost kill him. But there's no way to do it without taking damage, given you take damage fighting SB.
Can't really say you didn't take damage on this one, with shiv's special versus decy, and decy's death at the end. interesting how you don't use lock to kill souls
