I still tear up when he starts talking about how the edge of the planet has a definitive curve. I used to work with the u2 and I missed when they were filming this because I was deployed, but luckily in the ATC chatter at the start of the episode they still picked my voice to be in it. I think we have plenty of evidence going back 2000 years showing we are on a spinning globe. Why does a ship sailing away from you in a straight go out of sight? Curvature of the Earth. People with no internet and barely a grasp of elementary science figured it out without a cell phone or a computer. MORE THAN 700 YEARS AGO.
Also those of you flat earth, 1. Why are you even here? 2. The fish eye lenses are meant to give you more view. 3. Search the Dunning-Kruger Effect. 4. The last image at the end is a normal camera lens, and as someone else has already said in the comments, a fish eyes lens distorts the angle only the the high and low y axis. So if anything depending on the curve type the lens could have actually made it straighter. Though it seems that in their case it became more pronounced. Don’t believe me? Put it through a software to remove the distortion, I dare you.
If the earth were flat, how can the sun go around it? And how do satellites orbit the earth? How do people travel from LA to Japan if the earth is flat?

Didn’t commercial airlines fly at 55,000 feet until about 20 years ago? I remember intercontinental flights across the Atlantic reaching those altitudes.
@@theconfusedmexican704 I know what you mean. However, I remember many times flying across the Atlantic seeing the route display screen stating this figure. There were changes in the emissions regulations which resulted in planes flying lower and slower some time in the ‘00s. It may also have something to do with the jet stream but I wasn’t paying attention to these things at the time.

They're using a fisheye lens so that you can see more than a standard lens would allow. Yes, this makes the Earth seem more curved than it is, but this is in no way evidence for a Flat Earth.

I'm interested to know what the pilot has to say.
