Maths is simple Total seats in all IIMs = around 5500 General seats : 50% = 2250 Total aspirant for CAT: 2,00,000 99 Percentile= top 2000. Hence, if you leave other factors apart, you need to score 99%ile to convert into the worst IIM also . Forget about BLACKI .

Though interview was really infomative. Along with percentile you should have also mentioned your 10/12/grad marks. As your graduation marks was 66.29% might be one reason sadly you didn’t converted to IIM ABC as you also know. Thanks anyways.

Total has got no meaning without individual cut off. Do not get demotivated by such type of posting. Work hard.... FMS as well as IIM Mumbai and several other IIMs give huge weightage to the CAT percentile for interview calling.

In real business corporate world, many iim's fails , it's the team that works NOT manager so branding od IIM must be changed... Many fails & will fail ..

the main problem for this is that today most of the engineers are preparing for cat with non engineers and 99.5 percentile has become average score for intelligent students .students just want to enter management area with students frim every background from ba student to become to b arch to bds student . Also people need to find their real zeal . A student from college like mmims ,sbm can reach the level of student from IIM ABC in 5-6 years if he or she keep skilling himself or herself . Also its better to do your MBA from college like IITs or do MBA from foreign universities with so much rat race around MBA in India .now in India people either run behind IIT or software engineering or medical for bachelors and for masters they run behind only MBA . People don't want to learn economics ,finance , architecture ,interior or fashion design ,public policy , journalism ,mass communications that much compared to engineering . I also never come to hear from people that his son or daughter is pursuing fashion designing , architecture ,hotel management where people are required .

Sir, I have one question . After 12 I have done diploma in mechanical engineering. After that I'm doing btech from a college where attendance is not compulsory. So apart from pursing btech. I'm doing training for 1 year's In Tata motors in Supply chain department. At the time of completion of my btech my age will be 25.It will be okay for me to do mba at the age of 25 without any work experience.

GEM here. I have 90% in 10th, 89% in 12th and 8.64 CGPA in graduation. Scored 96.4%ile in CAT 2022 but fucked up LRDI and didn't clear the sectional cutoffs. Planning to take CAT2023 and aiming for 99+ %ile this time. Should I be hopeful of getting IIM calls. I also have a gap of 3.5 yrs between my 12th and Graduation because of mental health issues. I appeared for 12th exams in 2011 but enrolled for BTech in 2015.

When I first saw this video, I was like "Bhaiya kya bola rahe hai, aisa pakka nhi hota hai". But I experienced the same thing this year. I am a GEM, graduated from Bits Pilani (a top 10 engineering clg, considered to be the 8th best engineering clg after the top 7 IITs). Here are my acads and workex: 10th-90 12th-95 Grad-80 workex 18 month as of Jan 31st 2024. My first time giving CAT in 2023, I got 99.19%. I would say I have a decent to good profile and percentile, still have no BLACKISM calls. My best call is XLRI (XAT 98.7%ile). Now when I come back to this video, I can related with everything bhaiya said.

There are many state board where how the marks are given in 10th and 12th we all know the reality even less deserving candidate than you can get better score in academics in different state board and you can't do anything about it but you have to face the consequences in these mba exams, why these top B colleges give this much importance to 10th 12th i mean it is totally unfair plz judge based on how a candidate performs in CAT and GDPI that's it very very very unfair 😑
