Love this bag I have the same size in navy. Just got back from a trip and used it as my personal item. You really can get so much in it but it’s easy to fill it and make it heavier than you want as a personal item. There are so many compartments and I kept forgetting where my passport and wallet were so I picked a certain compartment for items I need to reach before boarding my flight. I have the MZ Sling bag in navy too. I love good quality totes!!
I wanted one of these forever. When I got it Covid hit it had been put away till now. I believe mine is this very size but I only got one insert not three like you. Is that what makes it DELUX? I truly appreciate the non slip stickies for the straps!
That was helpful! I am looking for a new travel tote that has luggage sleeve and a place to carry a water bottle. I couldn’t quite tell how that sleeve works where you placed the water bottle. Is it actually on exterior? If water leaked would it end up inside the bag? I’m also looking at the Max II tote and wondering which would be better. Any comments helpful.
The compartment I used for the water bottle is on the front and not the one that can be converted to a luggage sleeve. That compartment is on the back. That compartment has a zipper along the bottom that you unzip, which turns it in to a sleeve. It’s an exterior compartment so if water were to leak it’s on the outside. Now it *may* seep through to the main compartment of the leak is substantial enough. I hope this helps!
I know people have used it as the personal item, so it’s certainly possible, especially if not filled all the way. I do believe the dimensions are technically larger than what’s allowed. It’s ultimately you and your luck based on whose keeping an eye out for this kind of thing at the airport.

@@janjirale3545 MZ Wallace has done color blocking for some time and I have never heard or any issues in that regard. I would say it’ll hold up fine. 🙂
