Was für ein genialer BMW ... ich kann bis heute nicht verstehen warum der nicht weiter gebaut wurde ... für mich ist er bis heute die absolute Power und Speerspitze was Bmw im Motorsport jemals gebaut hat !!!

Because You're hearing more intake sound than exhaust. And in most cases, intake sound is better. I have a unfinished project car and it has a 4 cyl engine. You know the sound of a 4 cyl exhaust. Nothing fancy at all... Just brrrr... But from the intake its's pure anger =D
Was für einer herrlichen Musik wir da lauschen dürfen, der Sound ist atemberaubend. Zu sehen wie die Jungs diese automobilen Schätze fliegen lassen das nötigt mir höchsten Respekt ab, von den aufgewendeten Summen an Geld ganz zu schweigen. Respekt, Respekt.
@Garrett Magedson: Engine: streetversion BMW M88, 6 Cyl. inline, 4Valves, 3500ccm, individual trottle system. 277 HP at 6600/min, 330 Nm at 5000/min. Race-version: turboloaded offically 850HP maybe more than 1000HP. Was ich nicht verstehe, welche Linie der gute Mann fährt! Direkt von Scheitelpunkt zu Scheitelpunkt - ohne auszuholen. Weit weg von der Idealline. Das sieht wie Kampflinie aus - und das bei einem Spassrennen. Die Flunder liegt wie ein Brett! WOW!

It's not being old. It's finally growing up to realize that feelings that cars create mean more than how faster those new carbon made contraptions are.
