Bikes and cars use the road differently. This is not an open public road. Slower vehicles should keep right, not swing about. Perhaps bikes and cars should not be out there together.

What IS the point then? You go to a closed circuit to test yourself and drive as fast as you dare. If you aren‘t doing that then there are much more beautiful roads to drive. And the Nordschliefe is a closed circuit: the French Autoroute is a toll road with every day traffic rules, Nurbürgring is a race track that leads nowhere.

Yup, they are not going fast enough for that to be effective. They need to work on braking better. Once they trust their front brake enough to lift the rear tire, then they might be able to achieve a speed that may require a leg dangle. But MotoGP makes it look soooo coool, lol.

Some of the riders have more focus on putting their knee down than having speed through the corner as well😆

And beside the terrible looks of forcing your knee to the ground with one or even less than a butt cheek on the seat, youll lose the feeling for the bike and available grip. I see so many knee draggers which are totally cramped because they are sitting twisted on the bike just to get the knee down. It just creates discomfort for no real gain.

Think the bike should have done a better job of staying left. Carrying a pillion they should be aware of whats around them.

Yeah that was really not a good move, that Porsche right after that also cutting his next corner off.. I guess the person in the back of the moto pissed his pants.

@@j-hodz6442 Partly agree, but there's that thing with rounding a corner on a bike at speed...that the car driver apparently doesn't understand. No need for lightspeed, but wouldn't want to snail-pace it around that place also.

The two dudes were riding at a snail pace and taking up the whole track. You want to ride slow move the fuck over.

Corner speed on bikes doesn't compare to 4 wheels. Feels a lot faster when you're doing it though!

@@Peter-nj5mv biker had a passenger to if the biker had lost the front wheel grip loss with cars going around the outside the biker would slide straight into the car. It can be very easy to break your neck or back or death on a bike. There was a similar incident in moto gp with rossi and marco and marco died racing incident this was rider v bike result broken neck. Here in the uk you are teached to ride defensively with advanced riding. People do miss judge the width of there car which is why bikers don’t like cars passing close. bikes don’t scare most bikers and some of the ones that have a potential life threatening incident on a bike tend to give it up. Ive broke a few bones but i will never stop riding unless it stops me in so many words. If a driver has never rode a bike spending 2 year on a little 125cc will teach a few things.

Its hard to focus on the tiny mirrors and on the track at the same time. Bikers need also more space and more time to brake, as they only have two tires.

In the 4 years of riding and 5 bikes I’ve owned I’ve never got my knee down yet but when I do I probably won’t ride on the street ever again lol

@@NudaMan Knee down does NOT belong on the street, i have NEVER had my knee down on the street and i probably never will. on track yeah all the time. I even borrowed my girlfriends pink knee sliders to scuff it for her :-P

Tires are expensive and don't last long. fuel is cheaper and the vehicle is cheaper, speed for speed compared. a LOT cheaper. biggest bill will be the admission on the track and tires :-) I do trackdays, but i have never been to the ring, even though im less than a 1000 km from there 🙂

Just a small point to add to the excellent comment by @MC-Racing: Part worn scrubs are much cheaper and a viable way of saving money. Slightly less aggressive tyres than a full on track tyre, such as an s22 will also last much longer. Motorcycle tyres are also reasonably easy to change yourself providing you have access to the right equipment / skill. A considerable expense you have on a bike than you don't with the car is you protective equipment, which will cost in excess of £1000 for the lot. If you're running a dedicated track bike you'll likely be transporting it to the ring in a van / on a trailer, this may not be necessary with a sports car. Overall lots of different things to consider with each discipline, ultimately I think it comes down to which one appeals to you more rather than respective costs

@@slimfit767 indeed they do! You might not have got the joke l was making about trials riders- if you dab a foot down in a section it’s a point against you. I’m happy keeping my feet on the pegs in either case, especially at those speeds! 👍

Moto GP gu8ys started doing it about 10 years ago. It's basically the motocross preload the front tyre upon entry thing.

Yeah, looks weird to me too. Surely it would be better to be able to use your shifter or rear brake?!

@@nasonguy - a lot of the moto gp riders use thumb brakes to control the rear brake, they hang a leg out for finer balance control (it's got to do with centre of balance). I suspect these street bike riders are wanna be's.
