The Iowa’s, Bismarck, KGV-class, Vittorio Veneto, and so on; regardless of their relative performance to each other i’ve always had and will always have something for battleships. Or any ship with guns as it’s primary armament really, though I tend to lean onto Large Cruisers and “modern” Battleships.

I personally always saw NATO alliance this way, as us little (more or less) states standing shoulder to shoulder around our American friend's might as to discourage any other state that might wish one of us ill intent. This assures our independence and freedom, but as well as to progress in our diplomatic and economic relations. So yeah US is the big brother here, but in the end when it comes down to Europe if such a threat might rise and put one of us at risk, we the European countries under the NATO banner are kinda the first to respond, we all stand together!
I don't know about Mongolia, while they may have good diplomatic ties with NATO and the west unfortunately their geographical position prevents them from taking NATOs side during a major war

In the general sense of European based skepticism towards NATO, I don't think there is so much of it as much as a dislike towards the Western culture and political gerrymandering. From my extended family which most look at the West with disdain (Czechia) barely any of them don't recognize the significance of having a united army front to ward off potential threats.
