+simon jones Yeah, but Tricky was nothing more than okay. It felt so unnatural, so unrealistic, so… plastic. It didn't have the gritty, aggressive, jump-down-your-throat flare that 3 had. SSX3 had you constantly focused, on the edge of your seat. Tricky felt slow and boring. It was funny, I'll give it that, but it felt as if all the characters were unhappy to be there. They seemed to ignore the fact that they're snowboarding.
tricky was great but it's so belittled by the jump 3 made in every single aspect. the only thing I give tricky is some of the tracks (tokyo megplex and pipedream are unmatched) but even then 3 has far more variety and most are better overall anyway
Got this game like a month ago. I've been sleeping on this franchise! One of my neighbors in college had the new one and i didn't play it much because I couldn't understand the controls. Although i'm better at this one..i just can't get a grip on doing monster tricks
***** it was so much fun when you did a sick trick and then "MONSTER TRICK" popped up and you scored a crapton of cash. Trying to do it again multiple times (and failing) was the hard part.
***** you can even find out how to do certain Monster Tricks by completing little in-game challenges (like handplanting rails/getting airborne for a certain amount of time) and that tells you what to do. E.G. after getting 3 seconds of airtime (I think) the game tells you how to do the "Aphrodite" Monster Trick (which is Triple backflip Superman)
for me it's 5:45. It's my favorite part but apparently it's only part of this extended "Club Blaster" edit, not the original Jason Nevins remix. So this is one of the only uploads of the song that has that outro lol. Interestingly enough that part was also used in an iPod ad back in the day but to my understanding the Jason Nevins Club Blaster version has never been available on iTunes
SSX Makes me want to do ACTUAL snowboarding and become the REAL SSX Team I like the games yeah but does anyone else wanna do the shit like SSX in real life? Come on guys it's time to bring the idea into reality!!! SSX is the only sport video game I'll actually play so if you hear me saying this then yeah SSX is total fucking badass guys it's highly rare for me to compliment a snowboarding game.
Oh man Metro City. The hidden subway tunnel grind was how I won the All Peaks Freestyle event. From that grind, as long as you trigger your Uber just before it, you can hold boost and spam Ubergrinds and get stupid high points from just the grind let alone anything you combo into/out of it.
+PlebNC Actually, almost every race track had shortcuts like that one, albeit not THAT FUCKING OUTRAGEOUS. Still, you need to know almost all of them to earn the platinum medal in the All Peaks (long ass run XD). Man, I really wish modern SSX were as awesome as SSX3 was...

I can forgive Pharrell because he always did different styles of music and it suits him. But i can't forget Crystal Method and Paul Oakendfold for changing and doing EDM.
Totally still own this game on Gamecube, and it's the only game I've ever owned simultaneously on three different systems. EA has pretty much never disappointed me with a soundtrack. Even the tunes they put in that aren't really my thing, somehow end up being catchy to the point where I check out the band even when they're genres outside my comfort zone.
This game probably single handedly shaped my taste in music up till Junior high. keep in mind I got this when I was in 1st(?) grade. Best game ever and from time to time I brake out the good old Gamecube and play it for like the day.

There used to be that Ps3 game trailer before or when the console came out in 2006. It included very exciting scenes, some of a game that should never be made called "eight days". The trailer featured a short Mix of this track here. Does anyone remember and provide a link? That trailer used to hype my 12 year old head into different planes of existence. Still love it 🎉

just bought the new ssx at gamestop for 20 bucks because they were having a sale and i think its up their with ssx3. you cant ride down all the peaks at the 1 time anymore but its tons of fun.
Does anyone else think that On Tour was the absolute worst SSX game ever? To this day I still believe that game to be responsible for SSX's decline in popularity.
I always thought Blur was the reason SSX went into obscurity, since it's the SSX game with the lowest scores. I liked On Tour. Sure it didn't live up to SSX 3, but it was good in its own right, in my opinion.
