What a great idea with the flag staff and especially the cannons…..they look absolutely fab and I would say worth all the effort it took to make them. It’s the little things that seem to both catch the eye and bring the display to life….love it👍
Wow - a brilliant layout of an unusual and very intriguing subject! Expertly crafted - love the 13 piece cannons and other small details you have made. I'm looking forward to the next instalment. Thanks so much for sharing.
I see this is a genuine "diorama" i.e. a shadow box where you can control the lighting and views - that's very unusual these days and echoes some of the late Shep. Paine's work. It looks fantastic and I look forward to seeing more of it.
Enjoying your project. Thinking of the halyards for the mast, pop into the local riding school or pony club and come away with some tail hairs. Easier to work with than plastic or wire.
Thanks for that suggestion, I’ve actually got some model rigging left from the corvette build so I’ll probably run with that. I’ve just got to source a suitable Ensign. Thanks for watching. Jason
Wonderful work, really lovely, especially the canons etc 👍😊✌️ The part of the sea flettened for your Corvette? Looks like something from the Philadelphia Experiment😀😀👍
I will call you insane for scratch building the cannons... I also want a set of historic cannons for my Dockyard, so I found a cheap 1/144 Revell Black Pearl and used the cannons from that, But your cannons do look really good
The area outside the CO's office. It would have a line of cobbles each side, and be reffered to as 'The Quarter Deck' All Ratings would 'Double Across' and salute.
Thank you for the intel. I’m wondering how easy that will be to work in now? Could I get away with cobbles just between the front of the building and the flagpole platform do you think?
@@jasonpierce-newmodelbarmy3394 There needs to be a single line of cobbles across the ends from one building to the one across. Deliniates area. The rest can be tarmac. Cross cobbles start doubling and salute! The other one depending on time of day if you can see the mast. the call is sunset! Face main mast and salute !
