This painting exists in 2 versions, painted in 1938 and 1942. Among the mountain peaks, painted by the rays of the rising sun, rises the hero. He is dressed in heroic armor, a long white beard flows, his eyebrows are knitted, his gaze is stern. The outlines of a horse are also visible, as if covered with snow. The plot of the picture reflected the epic image of an ancient giant hero. Svyatogor is the owner of a powerful primeval force. She makes him invincible, but at the same time deprives him of the ability to walk on the ground. The “mother of the earth” cannot withstand the hero, and therefore Svyatogor lives in the high Holy Mountains.
