The ending light is up for interpretation. They don't actually know what it is. It could be them going to Heaven, to another religious good place, or yes, reincarnation. Just like R1- Place in the World Fades Away from EATEOT, the ending is up for interpretation, and the creator never gives a definitive meaning, as the comic ends as they go into the light.
