I have 4 of those SD40-2s in the Southern and Norfolk and Western Railways. I don’t have any wobbly conditions but I’ve had other issues. Must be in the Norfolk Southern units because a review on them when they first came out. That was a problem with those units. Can’t wait for the video on the 3 D printed cars. Thanks for sharing. Have a good week. 😎😎👍
Cool update…love your snow scenes…no issues with my ScaleTrains or BLI diesels so far…😂😂rivet counting trucks… I didn’t realize that either…just got a couple of those and they have sleeper cabs…I have non sleeper cabs…may or may not switch out…happy October modeling
there's always someone that knows more - it can be a wealth of knowledge online. but, i will say, most of the model railroading community makes really good comments and they help increase realism. But those trucks are awesome models.
Great update, thanks for the mention of the trucks, I have seen the bulk containers otr but to me it really looks more realistic that way. I have actually hauled sand to concrete plants. I love those SD 40-2s anytime you want to sell them let me know ! Love you videos ! Thanks it's a great inspiration !
I have used Bull snot and you are right on about using a brush, What I did was used it on one side of a 2 wheel truck on the one side and on the other truck switched sides. Funny you had issues with the BLI mine does not rock but it is no NS so it may have been on that run. Nice update will have to keep on the look out when you paint the 3D cars you showed at the end.
yeah, the other BLI model i have doesn't have any issues - i'm thinking it was just an unfortunate run. which was made worse by it was my first two BLI purchases. ScaleTrains is releasing their version in a month or two and i can't wait for those.
i used a small brush just about the size of the wheel tread. keep the speed slow on the wheels - the directions say 'yard speed' which for me is about 10% throttle. the brush was flat-tipped which help keep it even and keep the snot away from the flange.
