Hi Mike, Great video. Very good track level shots. Looks like the new mine section is coming along nicely. I always find something new on the layout every time you post a new club video. Please do more layout videos in the future and let the club members know they are doing a great job with the scenery. The layout looks great! Randy
Nice video Mike, this layout ..is this your club layout or is this in conjunction with a neighborhood community center? The more I see of Kato track the better I like it. I still have my 3x13 ft Atlas DC layout..done the old fashion way with the L girder framework and cookie cutter plywood on risers. All the landscape is wadded newspaper and cardboard lattice with plaster cloth. In the somewhat near future I have an attached screen house that will avail me 18'x13'.. On this next, which will be the third layout, I think I am going to try foam, DCC and try to understand JMRI or something similar to step up into the modern day modeling. Thanks for all your sharing Mike. It is always a great inspiration. Tom
Thanks Tom , I think all of those ideas are good ones but nothing wrong with the old methods either. There are times I miss the simplicity of the DC. Mike
Mike, thank you for sharing this video. I am amazed by the train with six locomotives running so smoothly. Were the six locomotives in one consist to achieve what seem to be flawless operation? Thanks.
Did Gavin had the six locomotives in one consist? I had never seen diesel pushers until we moved to Peoria, Illinois in 2005. UP runs them on trains that come north from the Illinois River because of the grade.
Thanks for the fun video, Mike. Looks like you guys had some fun down there the other day. Say, quick question - where do you get the yellow toned bushes that are along the tracks? Lots of outlets have N scale bushes but they are various shades of green and I'm looking for some substantial bushes to add to my southeastern Nevada-depicted layout, so I need more desert looking bushes. Thanks in advance, as always. Dave
I've been thinking about joining a club...I might check one out tomorrow. They are inside of Murphy's Automotive Museum...what a great combo cars and trains lol
