NSYNC was the only boy band that was played on the urban stations in my area (which is NYC, wha wha).. like HOT 97 and 105.1.. they played GONE and Girlfriend. Can't recall that ever again, or before.
Justin didn't break the band up. He just wanted to become a solo artist and go on his own direction. And that's okay. It's okay to wanna try new things or projects. The rest of the group could have made there own albums. But they didn't. I know they're all great singers. But if they really wanted it, they would have made it happen. I know Jc did but it wasn't successful. Besides, when they broke up, the boy band years were almost over anyways. And we also wouldn't have had Justin's greatest hits. Look where he is now, he won the mj video vanguard award and sold over 1 million albums. Jt is the man right now, for sure.
I agree, it's great to see someone else shares my thoughts exactly. They shouldn't blame one guy for wanting to go his own way. Everyone is free to make their own decisions.
@USMCdrummer06 well, in this song it is because he's the lead singer and generally it is because he's the only one in the group with a successful solo career
@Eua662 I was a huge huge N Sync fan so it's not even about that. It just seemed like that Justin started getting way more attention and that's originally not how it was in the band. If you read Lance Bass' book, he even says that. Obviously, the other members of the group felt that way too and that caused them to disband. So for me, no hate for the guys. They WERE FRIGGIN AWESOME!
@susceotible Yes, JC wrote songs too, but Justin was always the more talented songwriter, you have to give him that at least. He won more grammys on his first solo album than all of NSync's albums put together. The guy knew how to write good music.
I use to hate justin for breaking the band up. They work so hard to get where there were at and he just takes all that away, but I mean its whatever. He's a great solo artist and he works hard at what he does.
They're not in a bad place or waiting for him to come back. They have their own lives to live and if they want to come back as a group the other 4 can do it. You can't force someone to do what you want. It doesn't work that way.
No, if they want to come back they can do it. Their is nothing stopping them but themselves. I'm not saying they can't do it. But it would be interesting to see the dynamics of them being a foursome. Justin is not the leader he is 20% of the equation. I get where most of the fans are coming from, honestly I don't agree, but that their opinion. Whether a comeback is possible or not is up to Nsync.
@USMCdrummer06 yes i guess it isn't...but we just say our opinion and...Justin is the lead singer so we can say for him. we like the band but we like and him! just let us say whatever we want it's not your bussines!
justin still sings in their singles. He was always there. its the media was just all about justin. it was once about n'sync. but once justin started dating britney that was when all things started to focused on him including their record label tries to focus on justin. It wasnt justin's fault of course. But it was the media and jive who give much attention to justin and neglected the others. plus if jc wrote 15 of their songs, he desserve 3 songs all by himself and at least it wasnt a single.
@USMCdrummer06 i agree with you so much. suddenly it was all about justin. even I sarted to dislike n'sync after the third album went out. coz it was all just bout justin.
@USMCdrummer06 Um, it's only for one song. And technically, Justin wrote the song, so it seems fair to me since the other guys got solos in the other songs. The thing is, this song is a really good song. It's one of those that people remember. The songs that the other guys got solos in? Not very memorable.
@SnowGirl098 winning grammy DOES NOT make someone more talented then another. Some of the most talented artists are underground and you will never see them winning a grammy but they are probably more talented then a majority of the artist out now, you know what I'm saying
@USMCdrummer06 yeah! I heard about Lance Bass book and I think it's to egoystic of him to blame Justin for leaving the band and make solo career! I think he is just jealous!(and sorry for my english if I made any mistake
@susceotible But when JC sang lead for the 1st 2 albums u had no probs rite??? Do ur research while JT sang gone alone on their 1st album JC sang 3 songs all by himself, and wrote 15 of their songs on the 1st 2 albums while JT wrote 1 which was (I'll be good) IT isn't JT fault that JC wrote crap example SPACE COWBOYS! and if you need more his two solo albums that flopped
@susceotible lol you JC fans crack me up! ur excuse now is JC wrote 15 songs so he deserve to sing alone, he wrote 15 songs on 1st two albums so there4 dats d reason for him getn most lead parts on No strings attached too rite! But when Justin writes GOne which btw is thousands better than spacecowboys! he sudn't sing it? When he wrote L'll be good for you and JC sang almost d whole song he didnt complain, so wat if he sang his song its his When JC sang SAILING at concerts jt didnt make a scene
Ruler 90 Sailing is a bad example. Christopher Cross wrote that, so actually the arrangement could have had someone other than JC singing lead. Look, it is what it is now, but be real. JC had the better voice. Justin has had the better career.
