Formed in Orlando, FL, the boy band consisted of JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. The group was one of the most successful bands of the teen pop era, with three studio albums and selling over 70 million records. In 2002, the group disbanded while members went on to their own solo projects.
After separating from their former label and undergoing numerous legal battles, the band released their second album, No Strings Attached. It debuted at the top of the Billboard charts, selling 2.4 million copies in the first week, a record that lasted for 15 years. Four singles were released.
