If only people knew what our homes, our lands truly mean to us, they might understand why some just don't want to leave, or always find their way back no matter how far they roam. It goes deep, beyond this time, beyond this world. It is the spirit of our people the keeps us going, and only when we're together that spirit is stronger. Home is home, no matter what. I'm forever grateful for my reservation, my tribe, my home. Though everyone and everything is constantly trying to push us away, this is my home, forever. This place is forever a part of my own personal heaven. The rez, the lake, the woods, everything is forever infused into my heart and soul, and no one and nothing could ever try to seperate that from me. This is my home, my heaven, my family, and it means everything to me. Love is family, Love is Home. I'm very proud to be native american! respresenting Passamaqouddy/Maliseet! man this brought a tear to my eye. I grew up on an isolated rez. I'm fortunate enough to have parents that give their everything for me and my siblings, and moved us out to a town when I was 16. However, still hearing these lyrics, seeing the conditions that resemble a lot of what my friends live in, just hit home and brought me back. Wicked song guys. Got a subscribe and a share on FB. Keep going. Never give up. If you gotta break down, let it out, scream out whatever you have to, than bear your teeth and continue on.
