Back with more game hunting! This time around, I found some amazing consoles you dont see quite often and alot of cool games in the Junk section for Super Famicom, Game Boy and more Also recommending som Dreamcast games you should definitely check out! This Hard Off is placed in Yahagisho, the northern part of Nagoya. I also managed to find not one, but two golden N64 consoles. Pretty amazing.

Totally get that Joshua. I wasn't aware of the Puyo Puyo games there and still to this day, never played them. I know about them now and I would definitely like to try them out. Usually not into puzzle games but they look great actually. I’ll try to give them more attention the next time.

Love hard-off and the best part is going to the different stores since each one is different and so are the prices. i picked up a boxed MD for 2,700 yen in the Junk section recently.

Exactly! You're correct, some Hard Off's are way better than others, crazy enough. Thats definitely a steal if the box was in good shape. Congrats!

@@RetroMoments yeah box was in good shape for me :). i have had some real good luck with a local shop recently but my best Find foe me so far was a boxed white Pc engine for 2.500 yen just missing the RF unit. they said the hucard slot had issues but it was perfectly fine :)

Awesome! Ah nice. The original PC Engine? I'm actually looking for the newer version called Core Grafx II. Since that one has the AV-out with composite cable.

@@RetroMoments thats a good one . not sure if you know but the first Core Grafx (Just pick one up recently as well going to do a referb video on it soon) been really lucky as of late. Also has AV-out with composite cable also if you get a Briefcase Unit with the CD rom rom drive that turns all PC engines types AV-out with composite cables. on that.

Yes, I'm aware of that actually. I just thought the second version looked more nice. But yea, any of those 2 would be cool actually. What did you pay for your Core Grafx? Im not looking for the one with CD-rom, I need to save space in my suitcase for later haha.

Dude! You graze a sealed copy of Chrono Trigger with your fingers and you proceed to ignore it to look at DK instead!? 😱 I would have loved to find out how much those are going for these days. Have you seen others? Awesome video nevertheless.

Really!? Was it sealed with original plastic!? 😮 I need to look at the video again. Anyway, I probably didnt look at because RPGs are not ”playable” with Japanese language. So I focused on the games where you dont need to know the language.

Not common, but definitely more than in the US. Thats for sure. I'd say go for the Japanese Gold console. You will find it, Im sure.

Red price tags mean reduced price. Could be because of condition or something missing in the box.

Is everything in the junk section not tested? I don't feel comfortable betting on a 2000 yen N64, but 300 yen for a Gamecube, why not?

Correct Nathan! Actually, some of it can be from the regular section too. Sometimes they move those items to the junk because they have full stock. For those consoles in the beginning there I actually think they were tested & working. They were just there cause they had small problems like scratches. Worth it!

Gex and Samurai Showdown are ports. Most of the 3DO library was... err.. not so great!

It means they didnt test it or condition is too bad for selling. Everything I ever bought from the junk section worked!

@@RetroMoments I wish it got to America I'll bet it would have made more sales than Japan and nintendo would have put more time and money to it I know it was about to be launch in America In final design phase just nintendo found out the sales weren't good in Japan i would of bought it I tried to figure out what the hell was the connector for the bottom back in 1998 now I know it was a add on for games i guess nintendo was ahead of Microsoft and playstation for add on the cool thing about it was the add on for legend of zelda ocarina of time and some another games that didn't make it the things you could think what stuff it could do.
