The sound of the TV turning on, the loud click of the N64 power switch, that ringing? of the TV when the game started, and finally, Ocarina of Time's title screen with that good old theme. Pure nostalgic bliss. Thank you.
Brings me back to Christmas of ‘98. My family and I couldn’t figure out how to hook up the N64, until my dad figured it out by plugging the composite cables into our VCR (remember those?) and setting the tv to channel 3. Great times. This makes me feel so nostalgic.
Same thing happened to me Christmas 98 we couldn't figure out how to hook it up until we called my cousin and they told us what to do brings back so many memories of playing killer instinct and turok those were the days. I now own a N64 with a ever drive and it is fun to hop on it now and then and to relive the past it was a simpler time .
@@abelardofuego yes, majoras mask is amazing too. I still find OOT better probably for the nostalgia, and in my opinion it’s the most zelda-iest Zelda game. I rlly hope they release them on switch, that’s all I want on switch.
Ocarina of Time...a game that I will always cherish and love. This game was everything to me. As a young kid(around 7 years old) I never made it far in the game. I only collected the first stone and that was it. I never made it to Adult Link, I never made it to the temples, I never fought Ganondorf, but for some reason I enjoyed it. Upon reaching my junior/senior year of high school, this game has been remade for the 3DS, and I decided to pick this gem up and relive it, only to find out that there was so much more to love this game upon collecting the rest of the stones, and playing through all the temples. I beat Ganon, I beat this game, and I finally rescued Zelda after galloping away from the castle...after so many years. This game, this series...will always have a place in my heart.
Played it with my brothers, and father who just died last year, it was our favorite game, I was 10 when I beat it by myself... my brothers, and I found everything, figured out how to get Epona all by ourselves, we were all massive Zelda fans from Link to the Past on Super Nintendo... but Ocarina of Time has such special meaning to us... especially since it was one of the few games our father actually played with us... I remember playing it everyday after school, I remember staying up late at night once when my father played trying to figure out how to get through the lost woods, just him, and I... it too will forever have a special place in my heart. Check out our channel for EPIC recipes... Cheers.
The chill ocarina music with the horse galloping behind to open the game is almost chill inducing. Such a low key, but epic way to present the adventure. It's iconic like the opening of Twin Peaks.
I remember watching my older brother turn into adult link and up to this day that is the precise moment that made me love this game so much. I love ocarina of time
Not at all, you can probably relate to the excitement of a new nintendo console being opened. That's the interesting thing about the last 3 decades or so, the technology changes but consumer culture has remained pretty constant.
Strangely, I'm nostalgic for playing Mario Galaxy... which was in 2017. I never had a Wii in its heyday. Yet my eyes get a little soft when I remember myself playing Mario for the first time, ten years late, at the time.
20 years later. I never get tired of that intro with the Ocarina playing and it's music with the harp. I have played this remake in every console since the N64. Gamecube including the MasterQuest, Wii, 3DS.
@@olevet75 Definitely the 3DS. It was the only one remastered and you get to play the MasterQuest when you complete it. I also like the second screen for the loadout.
@@victorandrade7940 thanks, that's what I got too, it looks pretty dope in 3d stereoscopic. I'm yet to get into this game though I started playing it but it didn't captivate me just plus life got on way
Seeing the gold packaging of the collector's edition of Ocarina of Time brought back a rush of nostalgic feelings like I've never felt before. I had forgotten what it looked like and how amazing I felt when I finally got my hands on my pre-ordered copy as a kid.
This guy must have a collector's edition house, with a collector's edition garage( or place where he stores stuff( ahem collector's edition stuff, ultra rare)) . This is a *RARE* sight, so enjoy it. Collector's edition toilets and all
Ya know with all the stuff he showcases I’ve never really thought about where he keeps it all does he have a room, a shed, closet or a garage? Makes you wonder.
@Andreas Emilsson yeah he def just does it for the video views and makes more money that way so I can’t even be mad at it. Hustling in all aspects really
Miss the time when we're not bother by ray tracing, fps, teraflop etc.. just saw the game picture and the imagination and colorful of gameplay creates dopamine it self. I really miss that time..
I have both the majoras mask and ocarina of time collecters edition. Unboxing this system and the components gave me so many memories. This game was my childhood and I've played every zelda game in the series. Its my favorite gaming series out of them all
Aaahh yes, The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of time. Quite literally the best game ever made still to this day! I remember skipping school on the release day to buy this game.
This took me back...when I was 18 and opened my N64. I could smell the packaging as he was opening it. The controller that changed gaming forever. MARIO 64 The game that blew our lives when we first saw it...pure gold. Thank you.
This brought so much memories! I was born 98 and I grew up playing this before I could even read! I remember always playing this, I remember looking through the booklets too, the joy this video brought me! Thanks!
Wow I legit am in tears how nostalgic this video makes me feel. Thanks man....thank you for making me feel that awe and wonder I felt the first time as a kid more than 2 decades ago. Stay blessed friend and great video ❤️
Such a masterpiece. As a Spanish I feel nostalgia just by watching our PAL version in your video, I still have my N64 with both Zelda games. This is one of your best videos. And remember, every game has a story, but only one, is a Legend.
Zelda is easily one of the best games of all time. In a Strange Way, Zelda has been able to help me get through hard times. It always brings me back to a simple time of my life when everything was “right”. When things get too dark, I turn on Zelda.
I still have this console and this game, but to see it on a tv of this era again is incredible. Really the most engaging and nostalgic way to play. The game was designed to be played like this : )
That collectors edition Ocarina of time cartridge is a 1.0 version, the initial release before Nintendo reissued the game with various bug fixes in versions 1.1 and 1.2. Nice !
In the early 2000s I got my hands on a N64 and got to play Ocorina of time and honestly even though I played it very late. The experience was amazing and as a kid the world felt so huge and never ending in the game. How times have changed after playing Breath of the wild makes Ocorina of time a mini map honestly.
Is it normal to all of a sudden start crying after seeing the Nintendo 64 plugged in to the tv and then the Ocarina of Time title screen playing? I’ve been watching your videos for a while but this. It was very special. Ocarina of time was the most amazing game I’ve ever played. And this day it will always be my number 1. Of course I’m eagerly awaiting BOTW 2. But I’m glad I lived to play ocarina of time when it was released. I’m happy that Nintendo is continuing the legacy of it after al these years. 35 years is a long time. But these classics will never die. I actually thought this collection was incredible. It brought be memories. In fact I clearly remember opening those booklets and reading through them all super excited to play the game for the first time. I thought “wow this game sounds like like it’s going to be amazing.” I wish I had kept those booklets :(. That collection…. I would definitely get it if I could. But thank you for unboxing this for us and letting us relive memories 🥲
I mean the game was made for every region. Also if you want that specific bundle it looks like its just an adaptor on the end which is easily removed.. you may need a power converter perhaps
Started gaming on the Super Nintendo. This console came out when I was 6. Got the donkey Kong 64 edition that was green for Christmas. One of the best consoles ever. 👍
I got goosebumps when the Ocarina of Time intro chimed in I've seen and heard it a million times but it still gets me such a great game I'd argue one of the best of all time if not the best.
Man, I just wanted to say thank you. For the days that u used to provide me with Zombies content. I am still watching your videos on some days. You bring me so much joy. Thank you!
@TheGreekGod1488 Those games can't compete with Earthbound Ocarina of time is only a Quarter as good as Earthbound was the nintendo 64 almost had no rpg games Quest 64 is absolutely a very horrible comparison to Earthbound
Thank you for this! It was the first game I ever bought with my summer money when i was 13 years old. Because of Ocarina I fell in love with gaming and have been gaming ever since. I am now 35, born the same year as Zelda was created and My little boy's First game is BOTW and has now joined me as a Hardcore Zelda Fan. I still have my original N64 I played it on as well.
i had one of these as my first console, still have the little pin and guide book somewhere, book is taped together from beeing used so much, it lead to a life long love of the zelda franchise.
This guy knows how to unbox stuff without annoying the audience like other RU-vidrs that unbox stuff and ask for likes every ten seconds This is relaxing and enjoyable
I got stuck in the water temple and invited a friend over who beat that temple. So rewarding to complete something back in those days. Now you just search it online and know the answer in a minute.
remember the classic days not only with ocarina of time Zelda, and Mario 64, but Golden eye and Mario Kart 64 remember playing that so much with friends.
