Na de bevrijding WO2 | Sunset March Nijmegen 

I would like to thank the Dutch people for their Remembrance of the Allied Soldiers that Died for their Freedom. The Netherlands compassion and respect for the Foreigners that fought for them is a Shinning example of their Society and Education. The Memory of the War dead has been passed to several generations , and This Canadian THANKS YOU . My Uncle served and Lost his Soul at Dieppe , survived ..and help to Liberate the Netherlands.

For those who don't speak Dutch: There is a new bridge at almost the same place as the crossing of the Waal by the American 82nd Airborne Division, during Operation Market Garden in World War II. 48 Americans were killed during this assault. The bridge has been named De Oversteek (The Crossing) and every evening at sunset 48 pair of streetlights are lit one by one while at least one Dutch veteran walks the Sunset march to the other side to commemorate the 48 Americans who died during the crossing.

This is something that I need to take part in.
