It's 2021, I cringed when Denise shared other addicts shunned her when she shared having HIV cuz even in the 90's when an addict shares in a NA or even AA meeting that she has HIV, I couldn't understand how her peers could have shunned her. But ignorance could give way to acceptance or blow up into arrogance, it just depends on how long people want to keep their heads up their butts. Denise, I hope you are still around NA and that your health is well. Thank you for your message of love.
To comment. When aids was first heard of no one knew how contagious it was, or wasn't, to answer your cringe. But no one knew! We are on the shoulders of giants. And to judge the past, like it's frozen in stone, and then to bring it to our present privilege of knowing, thanks to the researchers, does not mean those ppl who shunned hiv infected were bigots
@@jaed2630 I disagree. That treatment she received is definitely cringe. Just look at the actions of Princess Dianna. She publicly proved that it wasn't contagious like people thought. And cringe doesn't always = resentment.
Funny how this beautiful message has less than 700 "likes". Comments only have a couple dozen at best. Yet, get on the site of some of today's artists who glorify drugs, prison, murder, materialism and the objectification of women and their messages have 10s of thousands. Sad. Sick. I'm sad and sick. I didn't make it any better by calling Douald Trump Dr. Death. Even though right now someone is taking their last breath. And their family members are apart of this Fellowship
