The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) conducted assessment and accreditation of Higher Educational Institutions to derive an understanding of the ‘Quality Status’ of the institution.
NAAC evaluates the institutions for its conformance to the standards of quality in terms of its performance related to the educational processes and outcomes, curriculum coverage, teaching-learning processes, faculty, research, infrastructure, learning resources, organisation, governance, financial well being and student services.
Members visited the college on 13 and 14 june, 2022 for 1st Cycle of NAAC Accreditation of the college.
After the formal welcome by the students, staff and Principal of the college the 1st day visit of Peer team started with interaction with the Principal of the college, Ms. Tasleema in his office Chamber where he gave a power point presentation explaining in detail about the college, followed by series of interaction with Coordinator, HoDs of all departments non teaching staff, students, parents, advisory committee, alumin’s and all other stake holders of the college in the smart room of the college.
For document verification and on spot assessment, the team visited all laboratories, Girls common room and the class rooms.
The proceedings of day one culminated with the colorful cultural programme performed by the students of the college depicting the culture of Kashmir that was appreciated by the NAAC Peer Team.
The second Day of the visit started with interactions with Coordinators of the college.
Finally in late evening on 14th june, an exit meet was organised in which Principal of the college addressed the peer team. NAAC Membership addressed the faculty members and appreciated the efforts of Principal and staff of the institution coming upto the expectations of NAAC.
He advised valuable measures to be adopted by the institution for providing qualitative learning and teaching. Finally the Chairperson along with peer team handed over the Peer Team Report to worthy Principal Ms. Tasleema .
