The Credentialed Community Language (CCL) test is generally taken by
people who plan to apply for a points-based skilled migration visa in
Australia.
The Department of Home Affairs awards 5 points for Credentialed
Community Language holders, which migrants can gain by passing a
NAATI CCL test.
Pass Criteria:
The CCL test is marked by trained, impartial examiners using a mark
deduction method.
Each dialogue is worth 45 marks (90 marks in total). This means
that each test begins with 90 marks, and marks are taken off if the
candidate makes errors during their test. Each error will result in a
different number of marks being taken off, depending on how much
the error impacts on the overall communication.
To pass the CCL test, you must achieve a score of 63 or more overall,
and at least 29 marks in each dialogue.
Test format:
The test is conducted online. You need to complete the test in less than 20 minutes.
You will also have up to 15 minutes during the test session to prepare and read before you start the test.
