Politics in the UK isn't even close to being as bad as the US.

Well, to be fair, the sheer quantity of lunacy among American conservatives dwarfs that now infesting the Tories. The degree to which such mental illness does harm to each respective nation can fairly be viewed as equivalent, however.

I think the politics in the UK are correctly classified as small beer compared to the U S A .One of the strengths of our system is the Civil Service which remains in post no matter who wins a General Election and our independent judiciary.

My partner - who , like me, has no interest in either - tells them apart this way: "League is the one where the players don't have necks."

The UK made tertiary education payable and has never had proper vocational training. Greetings from Finland. (PS. Given that half of the population has an IQ below average, education is essential for improving capability.)

@@ambient675 Well, let's say that when I lived in the UK for a decade I understood that one's level of education was not a measure of one's intelligence (although technically IQ tests are calibrated to age and therefore education), but that in the UK one's capabilities were not upgraded to one's maximum level by the UK educational system. What does this mean in practice? It means that UK workers are not able reach the same productivity levels as countries with free tertiary education, which makes the UK grow poorer in relation to comparable countries.
