That debut video was one of the first opera arias I watched as a 17 year old starting my vocal performance degree. The innocent portrayal made me feel like there were characters that I could portray in opera at the time. That helped me step onto this path those years ago! Thank you Nadine!
Thank you so much for this video! I feel so incredibly fortunate to have heard Ms. Sierra perform this role in person at the Met earlier this season. Her cadenza at the end of Caro Nome was a true work of art.
1:44 The Met recorded you and posted it on RU-vid and they didn't let you know?? Is that even right? Or am I missing something? And why would you ask the singer to sing the last cadenza while lying down? It didn't really add anything and just made singing more difficult, as if it's not difficult enough to begin with.
