I don't why people mock him, even if he retires today, he has achieved many things in his life. Imagine losers like me mocking him for not being best when I myself he is struggling in my career. We tend to feel happy by Trolling others.

Faked his injury just because his brother got dropped from the test side in 2009. Never worked hard, we didn't have anyone that good that we have now so he & Shahzad took everything granted. This is what happens and I'm sure he'll not play for Pakistan again, until he scores truck load of runs and improves his fitness which he's not Willing to. He's trying to launch himself through his brother & media, Shoaib Malik & Shahzad did that successfully tho.

Because Umar understood immediately that he will make my fun and will cross all limits and he doesn’t have whole info about umar career. Its high time nadir should know basic ethics of how to conduct interview and how to give respect to guests
Umar akmal has played good cricket with players who are legends in their class..umar akmal has sacrificed big leagues for Pakistan,he should be given another chance to represent National team and prove his mettle..he is fine cricketer,and fine gentleman,,we want to see him back in action ,I believe his presence in green shirts will send big message to world.. We love this guy,he speaks from heart..we pray for his late mother,may Allah SWT ,do away with the shortcomings,grant her place in,jannat ul firdous.. respect for the star cricketer,who prefers playing for the country , instead of going after leagues,etc.

He seems to be a nice guy. He wanted to enjoy in his hey days and did maybe go off-track. It happens to most of us in 20s. That's the age. Not everyone can be matured as Sachin tendulkar. But going off-track aint a sin neither a blunder. That's a slip. And its human to slip. To forgive is humane.
God knows the best but i can feel that peace and maturity at his face through out the interview; he has clear understanding of everything regarding family values or any other cricket matters...may Allah bless him immensely because he is a very good human being.
I do feel kind of sad for Umar Akmal, partially because he convinced me on some points by how he represented himself here. I never imagined him to be well spoken as he is. He also handled some questions well with good humor. That being said, if anyone is responsible for not doing justice to his enormous talent, it's only he himself. Later on other people got involved, but he got the most time after Shahid Afridi (221 Pakistan matches) after putting in the most underwhelming performances. Not only that, he also should've thought better about his life choices.
Exactly! He played well over 200 games for Pakistan and off the top the NZ innings and the SL innings come to mind. It would be very hard to find 5-6 more match winning contributions from him.

You may have issues with his personality but he remains one of the finest batting talent Pakistan ever had, even now he fits in Pakistan teams middle order, agressive player and clean striker also a live wire in the field .

He destroyed his own career. Same for amir. There are people like sarfraz, who have been dealt with in bad way by board, but they still make their way and don't act like cry babies and that's why are respected.
The Mohali match of India & Pak WC semifinal 2011 was fixed. He could've easily finished that game had it not been for Yousaf Raza Gillani (former PM of Pak who was sitting there with Manmohan singh) And the irony is that he can't even talk about it otherwise we all know what will happen to him & his family.
