I can say that I have a friend who has three kids that have called me their uncle since they were knee high to me. I never once asked them to call me that, they did that of their own accord. The youngest is now 13 while the oldest is 17 with the middle one being 16, and being claimed by them and having the privilege of watching them grow up into the young adults they are today, as well as helping to raise them along the way, has been the biggest honor of my life. When a kid chooses you as their person, that’s a feeling very few things can compare to. And those three kids are my pride and joy, and will always be my babies.

Why do you say , "Emotional Damage" not being funny or mean. I am a kind person who has compassion and seeks the Truth when I do not understand something.. If you have time to explain your meaning I want to learn and understand how I missed what apparently many others with you are seeing, yet I completely missed!! What if I miss a sign of damage/abuse being done to one of my children or grandchildren !!!?? Being able to 'SEE' these things is a gift which can be greatly used to SAVE LIVES AND WHOLE FAMILIES FROM UTTER DESTRUCTION DUE TO A SUICIDE OR UNEXPLAINED DEATH.. How many times in my life have I heard people in grief say, "" If only I had SEEN THE SIGNS "" or I saw them acting oddly or just a bit different than our normal interactions, or I heard them say something and I thought at the time it sounded wrong or off, but I just figured maybe it's just ME OR they are probably just having a bad day.. Idk WAY TO MANY FOLKS LIVING IN THE "WOULDA, COULDA & SHOULDA" AFTER THE LOSS OF A LOVED ONE OR ONE CLOSE TO A LOVED ONE..
