My request is to keep BM Horizon open for more time. At this moment I can't invest even if I want as I am fully invested and can't sell at rock bottom and in loss. Market may start recovering any day now. As transfer of funds requires a gap of 3 days that may be crucial if recovery starts.

And the analogy that you gave about HUL or Taj, there we as a customer can distinguish clear benefit of one over other, so are you saying that your one of your small case is better than other ? Basant Sir, usually excellent quarterly results are declared between 10th October to 20th October. Mediocre results from 20th October to 30th October and below par results after 30th October. Going by the current trend when all quarterly results are out - most of the new investors who entered Post Covid period and holding poor quality stocks recommended by TV analysts and Chartists will be under severe mental stress.

About two years back I had bought most of my stocks near bottom but now most of them have fallen below the buy rate. So following the strategy of buying at bottom and holding for long term i.e. not selling at top doesn't seem to work. Investing in HDFC Bank has so far been the best. I am not sure whether not booking profit is more risky than holding for long term in the hope of multifold returns after a long period and not booking 30% profit every year.

Open ended small cases are like unreserved compartment of a train going from Bihar to Delhi/Mumbai. After a while it's difficult to enter/exit. Rebalancing is equated with entry of a new passenger in already overcrowded compartment. When all buy , it results in surge in demand results increase in price. In HH entry is into reserved compartment. However the compartment is whether 1st AC, or 2AC or 3AC or sleeper, no one knows.

Basant Sir, I have been saying this for last one month - Low GDP, rural distress, uneven Monsoon, high unemployment - are reflected in poor quarterly results. Nifty could lose 2,000 points in coming months. Most of the high PE stocks mostly in defense, railway, Infra, Solar, PSU with poor fundamentals will have severe price correction. Other high-quality stocks also will suffer collateral damage.

Basant Maheshwari Ji kindly give your views on where to use CAGR and where to use IRR (internal rate of return). CAGR doesn't give me correct picture as I keep investing fresh funds every year.
