In this Baha’i Blog interview in honour of NAIDOC Week, we speak with Uncle Chris Tobin, Dharug man, artist and holder of knowledge.
NAIDOC Week (www.naidoc.org...) is a national week of celebrations held across Australia every year in July, to honour the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year's theme for NAIDOC Week is "Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud". NAIDOC is celebrated not only in indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life.
Uncle Chris is a long time friend of the Baha'is, and a prominent artist working with Dharug motifs and materials. In this video he shares his wisdom, insights, and experiences connecting through art with Peoples, Cultures and Country.
