How do you get the vectorscope to only show you what you have selected with the polygon power window?
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals 2 года назад
Hey man! Thanks for your question! So, for understanding, the scopes are a representation of what's going on in your viewer. If you masked something out and you didn't toggle on the "mask overlay", then you are still analyzing the whole viewer window. If you want to avoid that, hit "shift + h" on your keyboard on the mask node, this will toggle on your mask overlay and everything outside the mask will be greyed out. Right now the scopes only process what's visible inside your mask!

I don‘t know whether you‘ve watched the video or not. I mentioned how to do this in the video. What I really don’t get is, I‘m taking time out of the day to record a free tutorial that everyone can watch. Then people who clearly haven’t watched the video carefully ask questions that are answered within the video, expecting me to guide them (again, for free) instead of just watching the video?! What happened to this culture man. Minute 01:55 - there you go

these tools saturate shadows and highlights. such a picture cannot be called neutral
@Ultragian
@Ultragian 2 года назад
This is not how it's supposed to be applied. You aren't supposed to calibrate every skin color to the skin tone line. Videos will normally have a creative look/intent and the actual skin will be influenced by the light bouncing on it. By balancing the skin to the skin tone line you are completely twisting the whole color spectrum without taking the other colors in consideration. If you don't have white in the scene, do it by eye. Thought the guy would show me something different but of course not.
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals 2 года назад
Okay lol. First of all, the skin tone indicator is for all skin tones. If you didn't know that, I feel sorry for you. The further you go on the skin tone / flesh line, the more saturated you get the skin tones. Thus, afro American people's skin is also on the flesh line or very close to it, just more saturated. Secondly, what your saying is just wrong. Not all videos have a creative look / intent. Go out to a corporate shoot and make it with a creative look and give the ceo a yellow skin tone. You'll never get hired again. Skin tones are the most important thing in your shot, nailing these is crucial. Of course, if you do a cinematic scene, then you're free to get a different look. This technique works perfect,as shown. Cheers
@nynty5
@nynty5 3 года назад
This is only for white people?
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals 3 года назад
Hey there! :) No, it doesn't. For example asian and Hispanic skin tones are also located on the skin tone line or not more then 2 degrees below or above the skin tone line. For afro american people the skin tone color sits also on the skin tone line or no more then 2 degrees above it! :)
@rajmore2104
