My CEMS Master in International Management interview experience! In this video, I share with you my thoughts about the CEMS interview process and the most commonly asked questions. I also give a few tips and pointers on how to succeed in the interview.

Thanks for the video. Do you know if it is possible in practice to get into cems in a european Uni being over 30? or is it practically impossible? I have been trying to find out how decisive that limitation is.

Hi Marco! Thanks for your comment. 😀 In my experience most CEMSies are in their mid-twenties. I haven’t seen any active CEMS students pursuing the degree over the age of 30. So I’d think it’s highly unlikely to be accepted if you’re an older applicant. However, at LSE, we often talked with people who were doing their management MBA programs so that seems to be a more common option for more experienced students.

Hi! I am considering applying for CEMS, and I have a related question. Do you also need to interview at the university where you will go on exchange, or is the process done entirely by your home university?

Hi! Thank you so much for sharing🙏 I was wondering if the structure of the interview may vary from one university to another, especially if all the academic partners require a business case study presentation or a group assessment. Do you have any knowledge of this?

Hello Greta. Structure of the interview is slightly different at each university. Some of them prefer shorter interviews (30 minutes), other schools have much longer assessments. Generally speaking if the interview is based on a presentation and on behavioural questions, you will be able to choose your own subject you would like to discuss in detail. I have not heard of any schools forcing any particular subject. They would like to get to know your creativity. From what I know, group work is the most common form of assessment as the teamwork is highly regarded by CEMS. It was changed to online interviews due to COVID, so they will probably change it back to in-person group work for the most part. Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any other questions 😃
