I'm really digging the metabo HPT stuff. I have paslode nailers and they are good nailers, but they don't fire quite that nice. I always use pneumatic when possible. However, that framing nailer has me thinking maybe I should reconsider the battery powered framers. Nice video 👍 Beast💪

💥🚨 I just bought the Metabo 21° framer. The first one only shot in bump mode. I rushed out to buy another one since I really needed it the next day on Monday’s job. The second one had the exact same function defect. The battery charger is as no frills as it gets. . It’s a complete minimalist piece of plastic junk. Totally featureless unlike my Makita chargers. There was no positive click letting me know that the battery was in and charging and there was no obvious indication in the red light letting me know that charging started. Makita lights change from green (charged or ready) to red (charging) and Makita chargers even play a song both when you first hook up the battery and when the charge is complete and the batter locks in. My Metabo framing nailer fired when it felt like it, not every time that I wanted it. It even went to sleep (mode) on the job after about 8 minutes of sitting idle and I had to hit the power on button to keep working. It is obvious that no professional carpenter had their hands in designing the tool. It only excepts one strip at a time and you have to go all the way to the very last now before you can put another strip in and they should’ve left maybe two or three nails more of space so you don’t have to wait till the very last nail to reload. I ran about 10 strips of nails through the gun and two times I couldn’t even fit an entire strip of nails and had to take out my side cutting Dykes and cut one nail off of the strip in order to fit it in. WTH. Calling Metabo and hoping for some technical support and troubleshooting was the worst experience of any company that I’ve dealt with in my 35 plus years of adult life. All that the persons who picked up the call said was to send it in to a service center. “You mean send THEM in.?? I bought two that are suffering from the same defect”… I even heard the night that I bought the two of them from Lowe’s that the compressed air inside the tool needs to be recharged after about one year of use and that you need to send it in to have it done and pay for it. What…? I’m quite a reasonable and level headed professional but so far I think that Metabo is pure junk compared to my 30 plus years of experience with using Makita And I can’t wait for them to make a framing nailer. I bet they are holding off in releasing one because they are seeing all of the defects and complaints from every other brand that everyone is sharing on YT and they are going to make sure that their gun is not guilty of any of them. Once the tool breaks two days after the warranty expires I won’t be surprised if the cost to fix it is almost as much as it cost to buy a new one making it nothing more than a piece of disposable throwaway plastic junk like, Nothing more than a big boy toy. I do on a couple of other brands that are known to have a superior tool like the Bosch barrel grip jigsaw and all of my Porter Cable routers which are known to be industry standards. I own a Milwaukee sawzall. It was the first professional tool that I bought in 1986 and I still own it and it still works. I bought one of their anniversary models about eight or so years ago that came in a special monogrammed anniversary tool bag and it broke within eight months. New tools in general are built nothing like they were up until the 80’s and 90’s. I also still have a corded drill purchased in the late 80’s with a keyed Chuck that was made by black and decker and it was a special tool of theirs back then that was black and gray and they called it their professional line. It still works perfectly to this day. There is no way that this Metabo is going to last more than maybe 1-1/2 years unless I treat it like a newborn baby. Stay healthy everyone … 🤟🏼

I’ve used the hikoki framing nailer for over a year and it hasn’t missed a beat , it’s immeasurably superior to that of the hitachi gas version, the slight downside is it’s quite heavy , but it’s a fantastic machine,

I have the Hitachi framer, 15ga, and 18ga cordless nailers. They work great. The negatives are they are bulky and heavy. Besides that they are so nice to use without air lines and compressor. Very happy with my purchases. Framer is best on the market. Dewalt is probably better for finishing work, but the compressed air design is superior imho.

I have the DeWalt cordless framer, which doesn't operate on the same principle as the Metabo, and I have to admit, the Metabo looks considerably faster than waiting for the DeWalt to spool up for each shot.

I just purchased that framing nailer its solid. On thst saws all he put in like 5 ot 6 nails but the demonstration showed him only cutting through 1 nail. Was that due to him cutting on an angle. Or nailer not setting naiks at equal depth. I did read a review where the nailer under heavy use stopped driving as deep and guy had to send in to get air recharged. Is that something we can do ourselves.

I'm so excited man. Hitachi has always been my go to for power tools. You get amazingly well built equipment at a fair price. Anybody that wants to question their quality, just look at the warranty. All of my Hitachi stuff has outlasted any expectations I'd put on any brand. I have the C12RSH2 miter saw and had the previous C12RSH. They are as good as any 12in sliders out there. I've owned the Milwaukee 6955-20, the Delta Cruzer, and have also used a ton of Dewalt's on jobsites. Nobody besides fucking Festool makes a better compound sliding miter than Hitachi (well Metabo HPT now). Sure the C12RSH2 has an annoying bevel system but it works. Outside of that, it's perfect man. Their nailers are legendary so I'm very excited to try this one. Just so glad to see all this innovation from them. Sure I'll admit they're just a drop below Milwaukee and Makita in terms of features, fit/finish, and maybe even quality to some degree. They're every bit on par with Dewalt though. If you had tiers it would be like this FROM MY EXPERIENCE... B&D Ryobi Porter Cable Sears Craftsman Skil Kobalt SB&D Craftsman Ridgid Delta Metabo HPT (Hitachi) Dewalt Bosch Snap On Ingersoll Rand Makita Milwaukee Hilti Skilsaw Metabo (German) Mac Festool Obviously this list makes absolutely no sense cause I'm comparing brands like Sklisaw and Ingersoll Rand who don't even make a single comparable tool. Really though, this is simply about the quality I've come to expect from certain brands I've grown familiar with.

Old video but i always wondered why the same pneumatic air that powers framing nailers couldn’t just be simply recycled back into its tank and reused instead of releasing it out into the atmosphere when the nail is fired. Hitachi basically proved this idea i had and im sure plenty of people wondered the same since its compressed air etc that is used in vehicle shocks. Hitachi figured it out and thats the holy grail for tools.
@yohanathandowns9057
@yohanathandowns9057 2 года назад
It's the pressure difference from the tank to atmosphere that does the work in pneumatic nailers. If that air was connected back to the compressor, it wouldn't have the differential pressure it needs.
