This beautiful song is a cover of the legendary Afghan singer Ahmad Zahir. Naim covered this song in 1984 in tribute to the legend. The music was arranged by the brilliant Iranian Songwriter/Arranger Manouchehr Cheshmazar with live instruments. It is from the album Ashena and Khomar. The video was originally recorded on Iranian TV in the 80's but remixed by Nazir Mardomi 2005.

i actually had a chance to talk to naim jan a few months ago and he is extremely respectful and he truly loves his fans un like other afghan singers who do it for the fame.. hes the most talented singer we have alive. thanks for posting.

this is true. i remember as a kid he came over as a guest and spent a night with my family and relatives. he is a very respectful and respectable guy.

Naim Popal is a great singer too... past is past AHMAD ZAHIR... futureis future NAIM POPAL.. we dont look back, we look forward... wat can we do if we lost the legend of AFG Ahmad Zahir? We reconsider our other beautiful singers of Afg who put an effort... everyone has its own beauty--- well done to all our afghan singers :)

he sang it different. he has his own version of this song and ahmad zahir has his own version. i like both
