I've been living in Kinshasa for 5 years and right now I do have 3 yrs in Nairobi. I will say this: both cities have their strength and weaknesses. The only problem of Kinshasa is, from my humble point of view, seems to be the respect of the driving law and Roads maintenance. Nbo to the other side maintains the roads especially in Urban area. Nevertheless, if the population in Nairobi reaches 10M it will be chaos if nothing is done meanwhile. About buildings, Kinshasa has buildings but not accessible to public. The reach hide themselves.
I think Nairobi is on another level,it is not comparable to closer cities like Dar,Kmla, and Kinshasa.I live in Springfield USA and I'm comparing your photos of both.
In Kenya road maintenance is a countrywide issue. Every constituency has an annual allocation of road maintenance which is legally recognised through an Act of parliament. You will rarely find a pothole in a Kenyan road even on the emotest of the areas. And if you find one it will be rare. Remember this money is for maintenance alone including repairs and markings. There's a different kitty for construction through the ministry for roads which is allocated to all new road networks.
Am Nigerian but have live in both countries especially congo kinshasa for mor than 6years but Nairobi is beautiful n bigger by far. Nairobi has beautiful buldings, smart roads n also friendly people though they're very few in the city only 4million people in de city while congo has a large population like Nigeria. Kenya has beautiful busses with fantastic music 🎶🎶🎵 n vibe while on board KENYA 🇰🇪 if well governed myt overtake even S.A even legos or Cairo
@@kevinochieng6458 Do you have any evidence to support your assertion? To talk about economy, lagos economy almost correlate with Kenya as a whole, talk less of nairobi.
Am congolese from the Eastern Congo. I ve never been in Kinshasa and have lived in Nairobi for years. I have visited various cities in East Africa...both like Dar es salaam, Dodoma, Arusha, Mwanza, Kigoma....in TZ as well as many in Kenya sucj as Kisumu, Nairobi, Nakuru, Mombasa. Even Uganda, I toured that country a lot in places like Mbarara, Kampala...and Bujumbura Burundi. I think Nairobi carries the flag for the most beautiful city in East Africa and Kinshasa, even if I have never been there, am sure it can t compare. As a side note, I have never been to Rwanda other than a few hours stop over in their airport. I got no intention of visiting due to their war in my country. I even took offense of his praise of Kigali while he is congolese
It's difficult to compare a city of 4 millions people and a city of 17 millions. I wonder how Nairobi will be once it reach 17 millions people... But anyway very good work bro keep it up 💪💪🔥🔥🇨🇩🇨🇩
@@chrisbadiata8219 For your information Nairobi has 7+ million people.Again, countries with high population are more developed taking examples of China and USA.Population is power that's why western countries are against unification of Africa. You should blame your poor leadership owing to the fact that you have all the minerals in the world and still you can't help yourselves. You even blame us Kenyans of stealing from you.Think big.
@@Kenyantiktoktrends I don't argue with a fellow African. the whole world knows that Mombasa and Nairobi are where Congo's blood minerals leaves Africa...🥴🥴🥴. At least it's a fact
Political stability is one of the ingredients needed for economic development. Congo, though having many resources lags behind Kenya because of instability & mismanagement. Keep it up, Nairobi .
As a Kenyan that over 50 yrs i have seen the bad and good in Nairobi .The Nairobi of the 60's.70's and early 80's was a clean safe, organized Bus system, reliable water and sewerge system.Today Nairobi had modern highways and overpass but it's dirty, with no organized bus system unreliable water and sewerge system not to mention unsafe and lack of respect for traffic especially by Matatus and Boda Boda.
I love Kinshasa. I love Nairobi. Nairobi has limited types of foods though. And social life has become less as times goes by. But Nairobi has a unique culture and people.
having lived in the two cities comparison will be injust Kinshasa needs like 10yrs to be in the same level, roads not the same size and kinshasa needs to put order, would like you to do a tour of transport organisation
for my expirience siyo chuki but its true...les go kinshasa..usicheze na huu mji bro, kwanza mtandao wake wa barabara yaani roads ni future! kenya wapo vizuri but huu mji wa wakongo upo vizuri zaidi hata hakuna wa kushindanisha eneo lote hili la africa mashariki.
Transportation system: there's Transco which is equivalent to City oppa of Nbo, also there's Esprit de Vie to counteract esprit de mort. So you have choices. But there's room for improvement
Yall dragging us through the mud now.I’m from Nairobi but respectfully honestly you can’t mention Nai and Kinsasha in the same sentence 😂.it’s all love though ❤
Congo DRC is lying flat its back, whilst Kenya is standing upright. When the real Congo awakens, the will be no comparison. Congo DRC, Congo Brazzaville, Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Zambia, Namibia, Zimbabwe..shud be very wealthy countries looking at resources vs the population.
@@HunsTheExplorer Nairobi spans four counties. The entire Thika Road to Thika town, Kajiado, Machakos, and Kiambu counties. The problem is getting all these areas into one city and that's it's called the Nairobi Metropolitan area. The Kibaki government a ministry for the Metropolitan area.
You didn't go to Gombe you was in Suburbs in limete Kinshasa is 5 time bigger than Nairobi how are you going to compare smaller City Nairobi to mega city of Africa Kinshasa City Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa have 17 million population
Commendations for your English, which is good for a person who grew up learning French. It is far much better than the French that I, a Zambian, can speak, which amounts to nearly zero, though I do understand about 80% of Lingala. That being said, when you are pluralising two or more nouns, always add an "s" at the end of the noun. So for example, " There are TWO Congo[s]" ... .."When comparing the TWO citie[s]", or "Compared to the Zambian[s], both of the TWO Congo[s] do not know how to play the sport of football" or the "European[s] who play football for the Democratic Republic of Congo, were lucky to survive the much better Zambian[s]"... Please practise these sentences so that your English can improve and become better than the football of the European[s] playing on one of the two Congo[s] that is in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Bro, thanks for your advice. But I’m not making video about for people of congo and just east of congo where they speak Swahili. I have more than 15k subscribers who don’t know even French or Swahili.
The major ports that serve DRC are either in TZ, Kenya or SA. I can take a guess where its easier to smuggle illegal goods out. Plus Kenya's biggest corruption scam in history was the Goldenberg scandal in the 1990s exporting gold from Kenya a country that does not mine gold at a huge scale...again, I can guess where that gold came from.
@@HunsTheExplorer Mr it's not necessarily I be in Kinshasha for me to tell how less it's underdeveloped..we the same league...try to compare Kinshasha with Kampala .. Even the Mombasa Infrastructure is way better advanced then Kinshasha's
Thanks for ur initiatives to show us the two cities... but you need showing us more if your face than the cities. My advice, next time, just present yourself and move on showing us what we all want to see mostly. Thanks @herie16m
