Akiba is a multidisciplinary visual artist and art director based in Nairobi. He tells us his story of how fashion and art are interwoven in his creative expression. He uses various mediums to showcase his take on streetwear including his popular fashion line Akiba Studios. Akiba is part of the pioneering collective Studio 18.
'Nairobi Streetwear Fashion' is Produced and Directed by Gathoni Matu (Panzigo) and is her directorial debut. The series was shot and edited by Shammer Agila. Production by TAP Magazine, the home of African stories, and executively produced by TAP CEO, Ras Matabaruka. This documentary is supported by Africa No Filter.
