I just finished doing work on the CR1A - my first time calibrating a machine. I got it so i can drop any TDK D/SA/MA to record and it sounds pretty darn good. i suggest getting the Nak T100 audio Analyzer - it's all you'll really need except for a VTVM to measure the voltage.
Something to do with the refresh rate of AC current that is 50 Hz and the rate at which the camera shoots PAL, also at 50 fps. The LEDs don’t flicker in reality , just an illusion
@@phaenius Maybe it had something to do with the camera?? I have filmed cars using an iPhone and the LED daytime running lights appear to flicker when in reality they don't flicker. Maybe this is somewhat the same. No idea whether or not LED lights work on DC in this deck - probably they do.
the tape selectors don't work in playback.... only for recording. the only thing to adjust is the EQ - 70 or 120. for Cr02-Metal or Ferric oxide/type 1
