Oh hell yeah. Been loving this series. Reminds me of the YoGPoD. Used to listen to that on my iPod every night when I was in high school, and now I'm 25. Crazy!
I initially heard "leech", and it took me a moment for the context to kick in and realize I misheard. The best part is, I think Simon did *too*, since he immediately went to tapeworm.
We had a parrot once when I was growing up that learned how to say, "Shut the door," which annoyed my grandpa. In response, he would tell the parrot, "No, you shut the door." Soon the parrot began having arguments with itself about who should shut the door. It was a great icebreaker to anyone meeting him for the first time.
“He’s a nudist, he’s probably got pictures of fully clothed people in a folder named work.” Underrated joke of the year. LMAO “Keep the dream alive!” I understand that reference!
@𝘿!𝙘𝙠 Riding ǤƗяℓ Willow I swear I'm being trailed through my comments by porn channels, but they're apparently not bots. Can't y'all at least target me with gay stuff? lmao
I haven't really watched your channel since 2011, lately I've been into your podcast clips and I finally discovered these full length clips. Honestly it's great to see you guys still at it, last time I checked up Simon was on leave and it really worried me. I'm glad he's happier than ever! I pray I'll never see the end of this channel, if the day comes... I'll never recover emotionally :')
As a long time fan of the Yogscast but also someone who has never really cared about the Gmod or GTA series, It sucks to see that this show gets less way less views than everything else on this channel. My intuition has always been that the demographic shifted to a younger audience in a big way once all that got going. I'm sure a lot of the people who tuned out at that point have no idea that this show even exists now. Really hoping that it keeps going regardless 🙏🙏🙏
@@WadeWSohoYeah fair enough, I mean obviously there is a huge amount of popularity in that content. They definitely know what they're doing with the channel. I'm sure if they continued with the style of content like they were doing back then with like 1-3 people per video with a huge focus on both Lewis and Simon, they'd probably have a lot less viewers per video today. Because Everything is much more of a social environment. -Twitch chat and everything. And that's just what appeals to people now. And it probably generates a lot more revenue. I'm sure the workload is a lot easier to manage when it's not just two people on the channel too, so I understand all that. I'm just glad we've gotten all this new stuff from peculiar portions and they're sorta revisiting that old formula again.
Why don't these get as many views as the other main channel content? Really makes me worried it'll get cut again. Sponsorships too, if we can just keep Simon's PP up. Maybe manscaped? smiley face
Too long, they should go back to the format of editing these down and putting the full length versions out as podcast, rather than what they've done now where both are the same length
@@JustAskMeTV101 Those old videos also got less views, I think I remember reading they considered dropping the series because of it. So I don't think that's the definitive issue.
While this is far more entertaining in my opinion that the endless ttt, it also doesn't hit a wider demographic, not a lot of people is interested in two old people talking about the news, sadly
@@unnaturallynatural8885 You make a very good point. Do you know the wave of sadness that hit me when you referred to Lewis and Simon as "two old people"? But gosh, it's true.
@@JustAskMeTV101 Eh, the viewers who really enjoy PP I'd argue prefer the longer, uncut versions. Video for this type of podcast is far, far better than audio only - aside from those who want to just listen to it *as* a normal podcast for some of the pros podcasts have (listening to it really wherever, whenever, on the train, while doing other things, etc.) Which they of course still can do, but they miss out on a lot truly. And anyways PP didn't start out as a "podcast"; they just saw the opportunity to utilize the full extent of the content they were recording and started uploading it as an audio podcast on spotify. True, not-as-serious-viewers or new viewers won't be drawn as much to PP because of the length, but it would seem they weren't anyways before they brought it back for Season 2 with no cuts. So, I'm afraid it's far less to do with the video length, and more to do with the content. It's silly, peculiar news - not controversial or current news. Only thing they could try to do is work on the branding or SEO perhaps? I'm not sure using one of the headlines of the featured articles is the best way to let people know what the podcast really is, nor will the podcast name clue them in either. It's not going to pull a whole lot of new people in, a ton of the "newer" viewers are going to prefer other videos like TTT and such, and older or more dedicated viewers are going to love it. Which, I think that's the whole point of PP to be honest; it's something for those older viewers who LOVE Lewis and Simon together and want that content.
As a person who started watching yogs as a kid and is now an adultmun, I enjoy both this and ttt, but I think personally I just enjoy the short form 15-25 min vids with an ensemble cast, dread hunger, first class trouble etc are all great, I like simon’s PPs for when I’m doing something etc but as something to sit and watch I love the chemistry of 6+ friends recording together; As you grow you find it’s harder to meet up with all your friends at once so commonly, and the multiplayer videos scratch the same itch for me that spending time with a group of friends does, which is why I’m not convinced a younger audience base is the reason ttt etc are their highest performers, I think the main channel is just a great place to come and remind yourself why you like the yogs. They all have their own unique brand of comedy but the dynamic between them is why I started watching as a kid and it feels rewarding to see how it still stands the test of time, new and old members alike
Weirdly feel like the exact opposite. Newer videos are just pure ADHD with newer members that don't scratch my Yogscast itch like OG Lewis and Simon would do
Lewis will be even more delighted to know that Pujol is a Spanish name, so the "j" is pronounced like an "h", making the man's name literally "Poo-hole," phonetically.
Sorry, but you're both wrong. 'Pujol' is a traditional Catalonian family name, and so the "original" pronunciation for it is 'poo-yol' with a soft sound like in 'you'. Besides, the spanish 'J' phoneme is much harsher than the 'H' for 'hole', as Chimborgne pointed out. Bonus points for your username though, it makes the comment all too fitting hahaha!
My heart warms up to see you two still chitchat and laughing like in your youth. We all have a funny, mean, child like heart, and learning how to take the joke and then find how to add to it even at personal expense, shows so much growth and understanding as humans.
I literally never comment on anything but my god I LIVE for these pods with simon and lewis, I've been a fan for like 10 years and seeing them together makes me so happy
The boar sow is in the right; she saw this naked lunch and said, "This is not right." Then she decided to do something about it and I congratulate her for trolling. Also the zookeepers missed an opportunity in that the parrots' cursing can de-stress the zoo patrons and also cursing helps people deal with pain. The zoo can make a show out of this, like for adults. The five amazing cursing African grey parrots. Have John Cleese and Terry Gilliam narrate the show.
I watched my first yogscasts video in the 5th grade (granny bacons funeral) I’m now 22 happy to see you two goats together still making people smile and laugh
See kids, Blazing Saddles WAS educational, I had to look up La Petomane because I knew they did not just randomly pick a French name for that joke and the Governor's name.
8:39 reminds me of a conversation from one of the old civ games, the one when Lewis went on a tangent about finding people sexier the more clothes they have on
In regards of birds singing essentially being horny mating calls; isn't the *vast* *majority* of our popular songs nowadays about either getting sex, wanting sex, or having to deal with a lover leaving and either being angry about it or wanting said person back?
16:50 If it makes you feel any better Lewis, somebody had a cracking barbecue. (you can eat pigs/boars with African Swine Fever, according to the USDA) Oh wait, Lewis is a vegetarian. Never mind then... continue to feel terrible.
