Bourbon Peach Smash: Lightly muddle together... - 4 or 5 mint leaves - 1oz of peach juice - 0.5oz of 1-to-1 ratio Turbinado syrup (I homemade mine) - After muddling, add in 2oz of bourbon - Shake for 6-7 seconds to combine - Strain into double rocks glass, add in crushed ice - Garnish with mint sprint (make sure to slap it to release the oils)
Had a class with Nakobe. Pretty tough engineering class. He threw off the test curve for every test, consistently did better than anyone else, despite not going to class. He wasn't getting a grade bump either, all the tests were released for each class. That dude is SMART both on and off the field, great addition for any team. Also one time on campus I mistook Jordan Davis for a smart car with its brake lights out. He's pretty big
@Cg1224 nah it’s a combo of all the good experienced QBs getting drafted and Kirby holding on to his defensive talent players for dear life. And through all that they still got whipped by an offense with basically no run game and two good receivers(the future heisman Winner to but he still has to have guys to throw to). Basically Georgia Defense showed out against teams who couldnt push the ball vertically and the time they went up against one they got folded
@Cg1224 bruh you’re goofy asf bama lost both 1000 yard for the natty you watch film and see that it definitely made a difference on how Georgia played bama. Do you’re research
I completely trust your opinion on every position but quarterback 😂 but seriously I bet this guy is going to be great as long as the team that drafts him knows what they're doing like literally every player that's been drafted except a very small few.
And Jurgens (and AJ)! As exciting as it is to have Dean, we used our second-rounder on Cam. Really hope all 3 Day 1 and 2 picks shine. They all certainly have the talent and speed/explosiveness.
The other thing I think it’s important to recognize with the Pats is how much Bill values leadership and as we saw in the CFP Dean was THE guy on that Georgia defense that was calling the shots and keeping them ticking.
As an eagles fan hearing you talk about the flaws of quarters coverage with bad linebackers and hearing that’s where Dean excels makes me so hyped about the pick. And Davis and Cox can 100% keep him clean on early downs. So hyped about this pick!!
After watching this video he doesn't look like a good fit for Miami as the need is a 2 down Linebacker (with blitzing ability) that can replace Roberts as we go heavy sub packages with 3 safeties in passing situations
Great work on the analysis dude. Your videos have helped me understand my favorite sport on an even deeper level. If you're looking for other prospects to look into, you should look at Darrian Beavers out of Cincinnati or Marcus Jones out of Houston. Beavers is a smart, high character, physical linebacker who I think is going to pop off in the NFL. Jones is a corner that, while undersized, is physical and a tone setter for a defense. He's also a top notch return man and has even contributed on offense as a receiver.
As a Georgia fan I love seeing analysts like yourself praise Nakobe. It’s been pretty weird seeing him fall on a lot of guys draft boards. I know he’s undersized for your typical NFL linebacker, but the kid is just a football player. I don’t know how else to describe it. I watched every down he played at UGA and I would be a rich man if I had a dollar for every time I watched him make a play and thought to myself “this is the best player in college football.” He’s super intelligent, freaky athletic, he plays hard every single down, and above all he’s a winner. He shows up and shows out when you need him the most. I genuinely think he’s going to be a special player in the NFL. DGD!
I think the Eagles are a great fit too. They blitzed the 3rd least last year, and Singleton played a lot of coverage. Now that he’s gone, we need a replacement for that. All we have is Kyzir White, and I think Dean would be perfect next to him for us.
maybe so, maybe not, based on scheme. Dean is most effective with some fat boys up front to take on blockers, like a 3-4 defense or a hybrid 4-3 mostly in a nickel. If I'm not mistaken, Eagles still use a wide 9 front, mostly for pass rushing, meaning you need bigger linebackers who can shed blockers on run plays. if you look at the film, he is virtually untouched on his way to the ball. that's cool I'm college, but that doesn't happen alot in the pros. in most cases, you have to be able to get through people in order to get to the ball carrier.
Please do dedicate some time soon to discussing different ways of defining the Mike on a play, why that matters on both offense and defense, etc. I totally get and agree it was out of scope here, but I think that'd be a fascinating topic for a lot of people, and you're the perfect guy to explain it.
The pats drafted Cam McGrone last year and just traded for Mack Wilson. You mentioned Cam in your pre-draft defensive players videos last year and I feel like they aren't as depleted at LB as may people seem to think. They're definitely weaker at CB , WR and maybe even interior OL.
I'm not saying you're wrong, I just thought I'd point out that this draft analysis sounds eerily similar to the one you gave to Roquan before draft night and he turned out fantastic.
If I am the Eagles and London is there, I am taking him. Same thing if I am the Ravens. Best way to makeup for questionable accuracy on QBs is to give them big bodies who can win contested catches. Also, a lot of mocks I see have Karlaftis still on the board come Eagles picks. Wouldn't you want him? Even if you don't get Dean, Karlaftis and Jordan Davis would be a hell of a combo to add on your defensive line.
@@faveology Drake London is a beast. I don't see him making it to 15-16 Unless y'all package one of those picks to move up. Treylon Burks would be good too. D But damn...A Drake London & DeVonte Smith combo 👀
Good Breakdown. 3rd round pick. I don't know who is prioritizing a 5'11 weakside linebacker. Yes he can defend RBs but how does he deal with the height of TEs?
@@davidwillis8623 Not if the team plays their strong safety in the box a lot. I think Dean wouldn't be a good strong safety though. Maybe situationally you might put him there, but not his primary role.
I think teams who have a LEO role would love him. Seattle, KC, Pats, etc. They seem to use their outside linebackers/defensive ends in multiple ways and give them multiple roles- which Dean would excel at. He doesn't seem like a guy who is incredible at one thing, rather he is good at multiple things.
Great breakdown! I believe does have plenty of knock-back at contact, because he sees it so quickly and can be the one to initiate with blockers, but his lack of length and height does lead to him losing vision on the ball-carrier at times. He's my LB1, followed by Lloyd, Muma, Clark & Harris.
@@samkar2212 He's my LB8. Would have been a lot higher a decade ago, but he's such a linear athlete, who to me is nearly a pure pressure-player on passing downs.
This made me happy. I'm a huge fan of dean and want him to be a jet but didn't think he would last to the 2nd round. Now I think he can and maybe Douglas goes for it. Jets got killed on screen passes and by tight ends. He would help both. The run game thing is bad cause jets need better run defense but I think that can be solved in other ways
I turn on my tv to RU-vid see a Nakobe Dean vid in the for you. I think “oh yeah maybe I’ll watch this” then I see it was made by Brett. “Oh yeah I’m definitely watching this” 😂
It's because he is a linebacker. Generally linebackers, unless they absolutely destroy the combine or are a Mike-like prospect, tend to fall; not due to talent, but just due to importance of role.
Honestly if you can put him in front a DL to keep him as clean as possible in the run game, i'm comfortable with the size issue. His ability in the pass game just makes up for it in my opinion.
He needs to go to a 3-4 system where he can play the will LB.. he’s too small to play in a 4-3 imo, but athletic enough to play in coverage or stop the run , which in a 3-4 he will be in. Reminds me a lot of Anthony Barr for some reason
4:59 Bo nix misses a wide open rail route touchdown and tries to throw the screen only for it to get picked off… Love the vid tho keep doing what ur doing
All of the Georgia players do lol. People think Travon Walker is either worthy of a top 2 pick or someone who will never be a good pass rusher. People think Jordan Davis is either an athletic specimen who will be a nightmare to go through or someone with zero endurance who will only play a minor role. People think Lewis Cine is either the 2nd best safety in the draft or lucky to be picked in the second. I've seen a lot of variance in where Quay Walker, Devonte Wyatt, and Jamaree Salyer are graded too. I'm a massive UGA fan so I'm gonna be defensive but honestly it's frankly ridiculous how little credit some people are giving to the National champion team and a defense that absolutely suffocated its opponents for all but one game this past season.
He reminds me of Eric Kendricks , same dimensions. Nobody realizes this but Eric Kendricks is the best pass coverage linebacker in the league. JOK from last year and Isiah Simmons are similar but EK has been doing it longer
Brett, video is great. But i encourage you to follow up on Kirby Smart’s defensive evolution. Basically, with nt’s and dt’s to gobble up double teams, it leaves the mlb free. I.e Roquan Smith. Fast lb’s who can cover and play sideline to side line.
Dean's great and all, but I hope my Washington Commanders go a little more "Old School" in our LB pick with Leo Chenal, the closest thing to Micah Parsons in this draft.
WTF??? Closest thing to Micah Parsons?? Lmao. Hes literally the FURTHEST thing from Micah Parsons. Micah is crazy athletic, Leo is not. Micah can play DE, Leo cannot. What, did u think just bcuz he had 8 sacks that means he can rush the passer? Hell no. He got those by blitzing dude. He didnt line up wit his hand in the dirt like Micah does. AND Micah is good in coverage, Leo is NOT. Its Pretty foolish to compare the 2 at any level. Thats like saying Devante Adams is the closest thing to Tyreek Hill. Like, uhhhhhhh, No the Fuck hes not!! 😂😂😂
Between Mack Wilson and now Jabrill Peppers the Patriots have these hybrid speed guys in mind. As good as the Patriots have been on defense the past few years the linebackers have been Slow with a capital S. Dean at 54 would be cool.
I think the problem with these guys is they’re expected to play LB/S and they never end up really learning how to play either position. Develop them as a linebacker or develop them as a safety. They have to become a good linebacker that can do safety things, or a good safety than can do linebacker things.
A lot of misses on brett's end are due to work ethic and not being privy to locker room conversations. Its khalil mack v clowney. Everyone wants clowney out of college, because he's that guy but has motor issues. Mack is a bit worse but has a high motor. Who do you want on your team now. You cannot accurately predict where people will end up while only having access to tape.
I'm so high on Dean #9 on my BB LB1. I think he's fantastic in coverage and is a great athlete into with question is height. Bill Belichick would have so much fun with a guy like Nakobe Dean
I do like the idea of the Patriots drafting Dean as a passing down linebacker. We're going to have to deal with Josh Allen for a long time and the Bills aren't even pretending like they're going to hand the ball off to a running back.
I was really hoping to have him drop to the cowboys, but if we get him or zion Johnson, or if for some crazy reason linderbaum drops, then I would be content.
I think Dean scares me, he might not have the those space eaters in front of him at the next level and will that expose his weaknesses more? His d line was huge and that let him run free more.
I would be curious to know how you think he compares to J.O.K. as a prospect. He slid mostly due to injury concerns but may have partly been about the size as well. (edit: posted this comment before you made the comparison late in the video haha)
I’m interested in who BB likes more between dean and chenal, chenal in crazy good and athletic and is who he’d normally like but he might like dean due to the qb play in the afc and how we need a coverage lb
Mac really needs that number one and I’d love for it to be olave or metchie but the elephant on the patriots roster being the 1 trick linebackers makes me want Lloyd or dean
