@@xochitlbarba4227 From what I understand you do not have to have a tracking #. I know that not everyone has in the past. Having the tracking # simply gives you the benefit of knowing where it is and locating it in case something goes sideways. I aim to get a tracking # for mine, and I'm planning (tentatively) to do a video over the apostille process this week!!
Thank you so much! So, the results that were sent to you after the fingerprints is what we will need to send to acquire the apostille? The one labeled NON_IDENT_LETTER? Thanks again for the information!
Yes, the results of the background check! The page with the FBI seal in the background. (Make sure the seal is visible if you print it from your email at home!)
Just to be sure for the usps fingerprinting all I need is my ID, my payment, the email from the Identity History Summary Request email? I just wanted to make sure I got it all haha! Thank you for all this by the way!
Thanks for watching! Translating will be part of my next video in the series, though I know that doesn’t help you at this moment... If you go to the NALCAP reddit page there are lots of recommendations for translators that people have used. Just use the search bar and look for words like “translator” or something to that effect and you’ll see recommendations pop up. Make sure you check your consulate’s expectations for what exactly needs to be translated in order to make sure you get it (FBI check, apostille, etc.)
Hi! Love your videos and extremely helpful. Quick question: I submitted the fbi background form and paid the fee. Now I just need to go to a USPS post office and get my fingerprints. Does the form come with a deadline, meaning do I have to get my fingerprints done right away? I am having a hard time trying to find a post office near me that does do it so I was wondering if they give me a certain time limit before I have to submit another form again and pay again.
I'm glad the videos have been helpful! Good question, and I'm not quite sure. I don't recall any timeframe being referenced anywhere, though it has been a little while since I've done it. However, if there is a deadline, it's definitely far out in the future. The website says that you still have the option of sending in your fingerprints on a physical copy if you so choose, and that takes time, so there is time allowed for that. I don't recall any timeframe being referenced anywhere, though it has been a little while since I've done it. For finding a USPS location, here is their website with a place at the bottom for typing in your zipcode to find nearest location (can select up to 100 miles away): ips.usps.com/IdentityCapture/ Unfortunately, last time I tried to use it, it didn't work... Your best bet may just be to call your closest USPS hub or facility and ask where the nearest location is that does fingerprinting. You may also simply have an easier time getting a hard copy of your fingerprints! It's a very simply process. You would just have to mail it in which is one extra (but easy) step. As mentioned above, the website says you still have this option even if you selected the USPS option.
Sorry I haven’t responded sooner, I thought I did already… if you are still stuck on this, you can always get the hard copy of the fingerprints and mail it in. It lay take a week or so longer but in the long run it won’t make much of a difference.
Hi! I’m not sure where you would be able to go to ask, nor if they would do it. But, all you need to do is download your background check from the email link they send you and then print it. Just make sure that when you print it has the water mark. Some printers struggle with that.
