I would like to see the damage on the bottle. It looks like the bottle itself isn't damaged, only the cap...and the cap is replacable, you can buy them separately.
I should have shown the damage a little closer. It had a small chip out of the mouth piece but other than that I was still functional with a new lid. Super impressed with the durability of these.
@@WesWright-xl2rrwe’ve had these forever. Started with the squeezy bike bottles, the. These hard plastic bottles. We have ones that have survived over 20 years, 4 kids, probably nigh on a thousand miles of hikes, and they’re still kicking. We use the wide mouth because they’re easier to clean, but we use the easy sipper, (makes the wide mouth a narrow mouth). If they evrt break we buy a new one, or send Nalgene a pic of it, and (in theory) they’ll send us a new one. Lots to love about Nalgenes
I’ve been using Nalgene products for 30ish years and always come back to them. The cap size and threads are used by many other companies like hydroflask so you can use a variety of caps.
It works well for cold night of camping. Fill up with hot or warm water and bring in into your sleeping bag. If you're worried about water leaking put it in a zip lock bag
If you contact them they’ll replace it via warranty. You could do a follow up vid in reference. I don’t think there is a better way to help promote their product.
Thank you Wes for making the sacrifice to do this test. (RIP Nalgene bottle.) Guess it's all in the name of science LOL. Seriously, though, your video and the scenery is so fun to watch! We're awestruck! 🤩
The question is: Is the bottle body or just the lid destroyed. You can buy a spare lid for just a few bucks but anyway I love those bottles I have few of them and use them literally every day besides bike touring + camping.
The only part of the bottle that got destroyed was a chip out of the threaded mouth piece. Even at that I bet a new lid probably would have worked. Crazy strong water bottles. I use mine just about every day too.
hey from what i see it looks like the actual bottle did survive but the flimsy lid didn’t and u can j buy a new lid from their website so i don’t think of that as a fail
