There was actually an updated version of this game on the PlayStation Portable.

@@arronmunroe it wasnt even pac-man arrangement tho, it didnt have kinky and 2 player. it also had boss fights and a story mode i guess???

More like, sonic mania is if namco made a sonic arrangement game.

I don't think the reset problem has ever been fixed, even on the latest regular version of MAME. The only thing I can suggest is saving a state after each stage and loading it if the game resets. Because it's random, the game likely won't crash twice on the same stage. While the save state feature should work online for both players, if for some reason the host had a different save state, it would desync when you load it.

The option was there, but it didn't really matter to me. I usually just leave it on the default setting and add the coins. It's not that much trouble.

It's how it sounds on the older version of MAME. I have an older video than this one with even worse sound emulation, which has basically no bass.

No immediate plans for that. I have tried a few times to use only a credit in 2p with a friend, but never was able to do it. Hard to say whether or not I could ever do that, but I likely won't upload another video that isn't otherwise better than this one. I am soon going to be uploading a video of the VS mode in the PSP Pac-man Arrangement, though.

I used MAME++ to play this online. I think this game is also on Namco Museum for Gamecube, so I guess the emulator Dolphin could also play it online.
