Name of the Wind Book Review (non-spoiler) 

I just finished reading it and loved it as much as you did. There are a lot of authors I like, but there is something special about Rothfuss' writing style. The best word to describe it is beautiful. His writing is beautiful. I'm now almost halfway through the second book and am still every bit as much in love.

Read it a while back, but I think now is the time for a good re-read.

I have just read afterword to Narrow roads. In light of it and my own thoughts I want to say that books by him are more and more original with time. While I am trying to compose my own story I recognize his struggle with words. There is no single sword fight ( I got dizzy of Drizzt level of spins nowadays, although Salvatore trained as a boxer so he was kinetic author, Pat is as much but poetic :) ) menagerie of literary and poetic inventions are weaved through the whole story in a masterful way. But there is a single curiosity about those books. On the internet they have Dark Souls level of fandom but in my personal interactions I have never meet a person who likes those books. My friends age 35+ do not like them :( I just wish he would be able to tell the stories he have in mind.

I haven't read Name of the Wind but maybe I will borrow it from a friend now:)
