Hey there, thanks for watching. Subscribe for more videos and explore the 150+ videos I already here. So, what's your go-to domain registrar or do you simply use your webhost or website builder for your domains?

Just a little tip: what you refer to as an "extension" is called the top-level domain, or TLD for short.

If I buy domain from Google domain. Would I get some indexing advantage over other domain name register. I mean specially for SEO advantage or indexing advantage if I buy from Google ?

Sadly Namecheap seems to only be offering the discount for first year now. Registering for 10 years you pay full price for 9 of them. It's still good for SEO to register for a lot of years... But that discount applied X 10 would have been nice

I want to purchase a domain from Google (for personal use) but it says: "Tax status: business" and it doesn't seem to add VAT (I'm from Spain). Should I proceed?

But what about SSL? Namecheap scams you into saying "it's free", then charges you more than the domain itself costs in your second year (also, they keep crashing).

The SSL is provided by the webhost not the domain registrar.

@@DavidUtke Yeah, that's what I mean. With Namecheap the SSLs keep going down. Also, when they don't know how to fix it, they just use a free "Let's Encrypt" SSL and tell you they've "fixed it" ... until it crashes again (sometimes less than a week later). These are just some of the problems I have been experiencing since I migrated hosting to Namecheap, but I'm not the only one. Great video, I just thought it would be worth mentioning since it appears to be a common complaint.
