Now that you understand what DNS is and how DNS records, we need to talk about NameServers, which is essentially WHO owns your DNS. You can have anyone own your DNS, and it's typically a free service provided by the company that hosts your domain name.

Found your post on reddit the other day and have been watching these videos very attentively. The production value and easy to follow nature you have in your videos do not go unappreciated. Thank you thank you thank you for making this series, building a passive income is something I've only dreamed of and thought possible through dividend paying stocks & real estate. Two subjects I've read and watched videos on for over a year, but didn't have the capital to make possible. As an unemployed grubhub driver, working every day just to pay off my recurring expenses every month has been a grind. But I can already see that it doesn't have to be this way and in due time, I'll have the passive income and free time to do things which really matter to me. Working not because I have to, but because It brings my life value. That is what I aspire to reach and when I do, it will be in no small part because your videos helped me along the way. You're the man, Bryce.

Just begining.. curious why not use the name servers of the reseller host. Also, why NameCheap (wich IS great) over eNom -- specifically if NameCheap is a reseller for eNom. Does it make sense to cut out the middle man?

No. Only one nameserver can be used at a time.

They’re pretty basic concepts, actually. Just have to learn a few things here and there, and I promise it’ll be well worth your time.

I'm at the point where when something seems "easy" it usually tends to be a money grab/waste of time. I understand that Web Hosting was painted as pretty simple, but learning something new and having the knowledge that clients don't (aka being able to charge $$$ for your knowledge/skills) is valuable. The little bit of time I'm going to take to learn the ins and outs of web hosting through this playlist, most/all clients will not do this, will translate to $$$ in the long run.
