Well done for promoting our Africa and specially the city of Windhoek. Namibia is my second home and mostly when I need to reset. This city gives me peace of mind and good quality of life. Greetings from your n 1 ally, Angola
There are a lot of South African subsidiaries here in Namibia. I think more than 80% of the shops here are South African. The country is small has a population of about 2.5 million people, and our currency is linked to the South African rand. So our economy is also heavily linked to South Africa. The funny thing though is that we import some of our electricity from South Africa but we don't experience load shedding here. English is our official language, and many people in the city also do speak Afrikaans. We were colonised by the South African white regime before.
