I’m a proud descendant of the Temne and seeing what you guys traditionally do makes me smile everyday. Learning how my ancestors lived their lives puts a smile on my face. I’m from America but I have ancestors who are the Temne and I’ve been dreaming of the day I get to visit the tribe and learn the culture.

Mohamed Akim Kamara The Themnes do not say Allahuakbar because they are Israelites they say it because they are Muslims... Hebrewism and Islam have the same root .... Arabic and Hebrew are dialects of the same language and many words are similar the only differences today is that Arabic is a living breathing language and Hebrew is a dead one, and the Themne are not traditionally Arabic speakers or Hebrew I was a Hebrew Israelite for years I learned the dead language this idea that Temne people are Hebrews is not right and exact the Temnes are a people who are mixed with several people the Kuranko, Mandingo, Fula, Loko, Susu and several others are mixed inside of the Temne cultural group and the names Kamara, Conteh, Koroma-Dumbuya, Sankoh, Kanu-Mansaray, Kargbo, Sesay and Bangura are all Susu and Manding in origin from Mali while Jah, Jalloh, Bundu, Timbo and Fullah are surnames among the Temne of Fula origin
Mohamed Akim Kamara every one I ask the meaning of Kamara could never tell or most of the Temne (Tabuna) clans only one person told me the meaning of that name - Kama is associated with war or being a Warrior the Temnes are not the only ones with the Kamara clan name but it’s the most popular Temne clan
